You've Got Mail

 

Hello Friends!  Hope that you are well.  No, you are not looking at the same post as yesterday.  I made two separate cards...honest!  The papers were already cut and I had made a few extra die cuts with the scraps, so I decided to use them all over again.  I even used a similar layout. 

 

This time around, I used the My Favorite Things Pure Innocence You've Got Mail set.  The images are colored up with Copic Markers (BG01, BG05, C3, C5, E000, E00, E01, E23, E27, R00,R29, YG63, YG67) and then I fussy cut them out.  I paper pieced a tiny bit of the polka dotted paper onto her pockets.  The patterned papers are from Jillibean Soup and My Mind's Eye.  The blossom is made with the MFT Pretty Posies Die-namics.  I added a button from my stash and some craft twine.  I also used the MFT Little Open Scallop Strip Die-namics and the Fishtail Flag Die-namics.  Before I glued up all of my layers, I added a little bit of machine stitching.

 

I made this card for the Splitcoaststampers Love Fest.  This particular card is for the My Favorite Things Challenge - Make My Day.  The Ladies over at MFT are challenging you to make an encouraging card for the person of your choice.  It will be a challenge for me to make sure that this gets to the post office and mailed out...lol!  Maybe it will end up in your mailbox!  You never know.

Happy Snow Day to Me!

 

Hello Friends!  How are you all on this wonderful Wednesday?  It is not only a wonderful Wednesday, but a wintery one here in New England.  Schools were closed because we had a good amount of the fluffery stuff.  I have always loved snow and when it works out so that the snow gives me some extra stamping time...I love it even more...lol!

 

I inked up this little cutie for today's sketch from the My Favorite Things Wednesday Stamp Club.  She is from the Box of Love set from the MFT Pure Innocence collection.  I colored her up with Copic Markers (E000, E00, E01, E23, E25, E27, E40, E41, R20, R29, R30, R32, and the Colorless Blender) and then I used Nestabilities dies for the ovals.  The sentiment is from the MFT set Something Special Just For You and then I used the MFT Sentiment Strips Die-namics to cut out the sentiment.  The heart was made with the MFT Hearts A Plenty Die-namics and then I added an MFT Kraft button and some Baker's Twine from The Cat's Pajamas.  All of the patterned papers are from Crate Paper.  The Pure Poppy and Kraft card stock are from Papertrey Ink.  A little bit of piercing and some machine stitching finish off this card.

Playing Catch Up!

Happy Monday Friends!  Did y'all have a wonderful weekend?  I was able to spend some time with my family and a few friends.  Nothing beats that!  I was also able to sneak in some much needed stamping time...Yippee!

My first card is for this past week's Tuesday Challenge from The Cat's Pajama's.  The challenge is to use one of the many bear stamp from TCP and either their Apron Border CutUps die or the Queen of Hearts CutUps die.  You can find all of the details to play along on Alma's Blog.  I didn't have either die, so I improvised and made my Icing CutUps die look similar to the Apron Border (hope that counts!!!)  My sweet bear and sentiment are from the TCP What a Blast set.  The bear is colored with Copic Markers (E11, E13, E15, YG13, YG25, YR30, and YR31) and the fussy cut out.  I used Jen Del Muro's July Sketch For You To Try for my layout.  (You can find all of the details about the sketch on her blog here.)  All of the patterned papers are from Echo Park.  My other details include a silver brad, the Seeing Spots embossing folder, and a little bit of paper piercing in two of the corners.

 

My other card for today is from a past sketch from the My Favorite Things Wednesday Stamp Club.  This was sketch MFTWSC65.  I am hoping to catch up on some of the sketches that I've missed while I'm home for the summer.  All of the papers for this one are from My Mind's Eye.  I used the MFT Die-namics Monarch Border and the small die from the Die-namics Open Scallop Doily Duo.  This sweet Pure Innocence girl is from the Jump for Joy set.  She is colored up with Copic Markers (BG000, E000, E00, E01, E23, E25, E31, G20, G21, R00, R29, R39, and YG67) and I paper pieced her dress.  I used some Baker's Twine for her jump rope and finished this one off with some machine stitching.

Blogger's Challenge and a Sketch

Happy Friday Friends!  I have two cards to share with you today.  One from myself and one from my niece.  My card is for this week's Blogger's Challenge (use die cuts) and I followed the sketch from the My Favorite Things Wednesday Stamp Club.  (Just click on the bold words for the link to play along.)

My image and sentiment are from the MFT You Anchor Me set.  I colored her up with Copic Markers (C1, C3, E000, E00, E01, E23, E25, E27, E33, E37, G07, G12, R00, R11) and then I fussy cut her out and used some foam squares to give her some added dimension.  All of the patterned papers are from Crate Paper.  I used the MFT Small Open Scallop Die-namics, the flag from the MFT Die-namics Sentiment Strips, and the anchor from the MFT Die-namics Sea Charms.  My other accents include a button from my stash with some Baker's Twine, some pearls, and some machine stitching (please excuse the wonky stitching on the bottom left...I thought that my sewing machine was fixed...ugh!!!) 

Now onto my niece's card.  She also used the sketch from the My Favorite Things Wednesday Stamp Club (she is hoping to win their weekly challenge.)  She used the MFT Pure Innocence Blowing Bubbles set for her image and the sentiments.  All of the papers are from My Mind's Eye (she has great taste!) and she used watercolor pencils to color up this cutie.  I think that she did a great job for her first try on her own.  She even did the chocolate brown fussy cutting!  Now I really know what to get her for her birthday next month!

My Favorite Things Sketches

Hello Friends!  As I said in my last post, things have been quite busy here this week.  In fact, things have been so busy that I had my card finished for last week’s sketch from the My Favorite Things Wednesday Stamp Club, and I didn’t have a chance to post it…ugh!  I had a little time today to work on this week’s sketch, so I thought that I’d post both cards together.  Here is the card for last week’s sketch.

I used the My Favorite Things Pure Innocence Freckles set.  She is colored up with Copic Markers (B0000, B21, B34, E000, E00, E01, E23, E25, E40, R11, R29, and R39) and paper pieced with some prints from the Summer Fresh collection from Simple Stories.  In fact, all of the patterned papers are from that collection.  The blossom was made with the MFT Botanical Beauty Die-namics and for the leaves, I used the MFT Vintage Flourish Die-namics.  I dressed up the center of the flower and the sentiment flag with some Papertrey Ink Buttons and Baker’s Twine.  A little bit of sewing finishes off the main panel.  Now for this week’s sketch. 

This card is for my dear husband.  I used my friend, Fred Bear on this one.  He is colored up with Copic Markers (E31, E33, E35, G07, R11, and Y21) and fussy cut out.  The sentiment and this Fred image are from the Fred Bear and the Pinwheel set from My Favorite Things.  I made the pinwheel with the Pinwheels CutUps from The Cat’s Pajamas.  All of the patterned papers are from My Little Shoebox.  My accents include Papertrey Ink Buttons and Baker's Twine, May Arts Polka Dotted Ribbon, and the Little Open Scallop Strip Die-namics from My Favorite Things.  If you would like to play along with this sketch, you can find all of the details to do so on the My Favorite Things blog.  Here is the link.

Celebrate!

Hello Friends and Happy Friday!  I'm sorry to be a little late with my post but I had a hard time with this card.  My sewing machine is not working too well.  Basically, it is eating my card stock as I pass it through the machine...ugh!  After so many tries today, this girl just gave up and made the card without sewing.  Hope that you like it just the same!

Here are all of the details.  This creation is for Karen Giron's Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge and for today's Blogger's Challenge (Celebrate the 4th of July) from Lisa Somerville.  My main image is from All That Scraps.  It is Sweet November's Betsy.  She is colored up with Copic Markers (B24, B37, B39, C0, C1, C3, E000, E00, E01, E23, E25, E27, E29, E30, E50, R11, R29, R59, Y32, Y35, YR12, and the Colorless Blender) and then I fussy cut her out.  She is mounted to a kraft layer that I embossed with the Seeing Spots embossing folder.  The papers are from the Let Freedom Ring collection from Pebbles.  The sentiment is from the My Favorite Things Pure Innocence Birthday Princess.  The stars and the file tab were made with MFT Die-namics dies.  I added some wooden buttons and some navy Baker's Twine to finish off the card.

Thankful For You!

Hello again Friends!  I finished up my card for the sketch challenge from the My Favorite Things Wednesday Stamp Club this morning, so I thought that I'd quickly post it.  You can find all of the details to play along on the My Favorite Things Blog.

I started off with this summery Pure Innocence image from the MFT Feeling Froggy set.  She and her sidekick are colored up with Copic Markers (B21, B23, B24, B26, C5, E000, E00, E01, E23, E25, R11, R24, R27, Y38, YG45, and the Colorless Blender) and then I fussy cut them out.  All of the patterned papers are from the Summer Fresh collection from Simple Stories.  The sentiment is from the MFT Pure Innocence Pumpkin Patch Girl set and my polka dotted sun was made with the MFT Sunshine Die-namics.  My accents include navy card stock and navy grosgrain ribbon, a wooden button with some blue Baker's Twine, and a little bit of machine stitching.

Another Birthday Card to Share!!

Hello Friends! I have another birthday card to share with you. This time around I used the sketch from the My Favorite Things Wednesday Stamp Club. I've had this Pure Innocence cutie in my stash for some time now, and she was just begging to meet some ink! I colored her up with a whole bunch of different Copic Markers (B26, BG02, BG07, C3, C7, E000, E00, E01, E13, E15, E23, E25, E40, E42, R11, R29, Y11, YG17, YR16) and I paper pieced her beret. The papers are from My Mind's Eye. My accents include the My Favorite Things Die-namics Pretty Posies dies, a Papertrey Ink button, some faux stitching, and some machine stitching. Next up, I have last Friday's Blogger's Challenge to share with you. Now I know, I'm a few days late, but here it is anyway. Our challenge was to create something three dimensional. I fell in love with Joanne Basile's Photo Frame Wipe Off Board when I first saw it, so I decided to try one for myself. I'm calling this a "Remember Board" to write down all of those little things that I seem to forget. Here's mine...

All of the papers are from My Mind's Eye. The rose were made with the My Favorite Things Die-namics Rolled Rose Die and some MFT felt. I also used the My Favorite Things Die-namics Fancy Flourish Die. Here is a close up shot of the roses and the flourish.

The papers are from My Little Shoe Box and My Mind's Eye. Some black card stock layers and a kraft card stock base finish this one off.

Happy Friday Friends! I hope you had a terrific week. We had the week off from school for Winter Break, so it's been wonderful here. I had time to do some stamping, organize a few things, and create a few activities for my littles when I get back to school.

I need oodles and oodles of birthday cards for March, so I thought that I'd ink up this Pure Innocence cutie again and combine the Blogger's Challenge with the sketch from the My Favorite Things Wednesday Stamp Club. My image is from the MFT Something Special For You set. She is colored up with Copic Markers (C1, Eooo, Eoo, Eo1, E23, E27, E29, R29, and R39) and paper pieced with some Echo Park papers. I also used the Die-namics File Tab Die, the Die-namics Decorative Doily Duo Die (the larger of the two pack), and the Die-namics Double Scallop Border die. Some machine stitching and a brad for each corner finishes off my card.

Where, Oh Where...

...Has my stampin' mojo gone? Oh where, oh where can it be? I just can't seem to get things to go together the way that I want lately. Please say that this happens to you too sometimes!! I started off with this Pure Innocence cutie called Something Special Just For You. She is colored up with Copic Markers (C1, C5, C7, C9, E000, E00, E01, E23, E25, R81, R83, and RV11) and paper pieced with some Memory Box polka dotted paper. The other patterned paper is from Echo Park and it is accented with Pink Pirouette and Basic Black card stock. My other accents include some black brads, the My Favorite Things Die-namics Decorative Doily Duo Die (the larger of the two pack), the MFT Die-namics Notched Tag Die and Stamp Set, some MFT felt for the sweet, little heart, the Seeing Spots embossing folder, a Papertrey Ink button, and lots of machine stitching.

My Favorite Things Sketch Cards!

Hello Friends! It was nice to have a little bit of extra stamping time this weekend. I couldn't wait to use the sketch from the My Favorite Things Wednesday Stamp Club. So, I grabbed my new papers are from the Sidewalks collection from October Afternoon, and I loved them so much that I made two cards with the exact same papers!

My first card uses my furry MFT friend, Fred Bear. He is colored up with Copic Markers (E23, R29, Y32, YG17, YG25) and then I fussy cut him out. A few Papertrey Ink buttons and some craft twine finish off this card.

My other card uses the same sketch and the same papers. I changed up a few things. My image is from the new Pure Innocence set from My Favorite Things called Cause for Celebration. She is colored up with Copic Markers (E000, E00, E23, E25, R11, R29, R39, YR24) and then I paper pieced her dress with some Bo Bunny dot paper. I'm trying use some of the crafty things I have more often before I go out and buy more. This MFT Loopy Bloom Die-namic has been in my collection for awhile now. I ran it through my Cuttlebug with some MFT felt. I also used the Oval Tab Die-namic with Joanne B's method to shorten it to fit a shorter sentiment. My other accents include some A*Muse Twinkle gems and the MFT Die-namics Little Open Scallops Strip Die.

As you can see, I really fell in love with these papers. The colors are so warm and cheery and with the cold temperatures that we've been having here in New England, warm and cheery is just what I needed today! Thanks so very much for visiting with me. Enjoy the rest of your week...Toodles! :D

Colors and a Sketch!

Hello Friends! Is there anyone out there having problems with their Blogspot blogs? I have been having so many troubles trying to upload my pictures lately! Last week, it took over two hours before my photograph would upload, and I've been having the same troubles with this post. Hence the reason you are seeing Blogger's Challenge on Saturday and not Friday...ugh! I guess the good news is that it finally worked...right?

I combined this week's Blogger's Challenge (Colors-Black, Blue, Purple, Green) with the first sketch of the new year from the My Favorite Things Wednesday Stamp Club. I started off with the MFT Pure Innocence Precious Little Lamb from the Where Flowers Bloom set. My sweet image is colored with Copic Markers (BG000, C0, C1, G20, G21, G24, Y93, V95, YR31, and the Colorless Blender) and the cut out with the Classic Circle Nestabilities die. All of the patterned paper is from the So Sophie collection from My Mind's Eye. My other accents include pearls, a Papertrey Ink button, some Divine Twine, the Lacey Circle Nestabilites, and the Seeing Spots Embossing Folder.

My Favorite Things!

Happy Monday everyone! I was hoping to get oodles of stamping done while I was home on Christmas break, but things do not always go the way that I plan. I have had a restful break though, and I'm excited about going back to school tomorrow. I managed to squeeze some stamping time in today and I made this card for the My Favorite Things Guest Design Contest and I also used the last sketch of 2011 from the My Favorite Things Wednesday Stamp Club.

Here are all of the details for this card. I started off with this sweet Pure Innocence image from the My Favorite Things Flurry of Love set. She is mostly paper pieced with Echo Park papers and I used a few Copic Markers (E000, E00, E01, E23, E25, BG10, BG11, and BG13) to color her up. I added R37 for the heart on her winter coat and lots of Star Dust Stickles for the sparkle. The sentiment is from the Snow Day set. It is stamped onto a die cut that I made with the Die-namics File Tab die. My other accents include a few Papertrey Ink buttons, some machine stitching, and I also used the Die-namics Simply Scallops die and the Die-namics Hearts a Plenty die. A Productive Weekend!

Happy Monday Friends! I hope that you had a wonderful long weekend. Things have been so busy C*R*A*Z*Y here lately...we just finished cleaning up the yard from all of the storm damage, I have cleaned our home from top to bottom, I am up to my eyeballs with work from my graduate class, and I made oodles of cards for my principal! Throw in some Christmas shopping and a lot of family time and that about sums up my weekend. I also managed to squeeze in some stamping time for myself too.

My first card is for the sketch from the My Favorite Things Wednesday Stamp Club. You can find all of the details here. I used this cupcake lovin' cutie from the MFT Pure Innocence Hello, Cupcake set. The sentiment is from the Pure Innocence Birthday Princess set. All of the papers are from My Mind's Eye. Copic Markers (E000, E00, E01, E23, E25, R11, R37, R39, R81, R83, R85, Y21, and Y26) were used to color up my image. I also used the Die-namics Simply Scallops die, the Die-namics File Tab die, and the Die-namics Tag You're It die. My other accents include some mini pearls, some machine stitching, and some craft twine.

My other card is for this week's "Food Fight" Challenge from The Cat's Pajamas! Susan Liles is the Hostess for the Mostess this week, and she didn't really want us to start throwing food around (although, after today's lunch duty at school, I'm not so sure...lol!) She really wanted us to use any TCP stamps with food, and as a bonus...use the Icing CutUps. I've had this cute little guy from the Like You a Latte set in my stash for awhile now. I decided it was time to ink him up. I'm going to say that the food is the soup in his cup...wink wink! He is colored up with Copic Markers (E000, E00, E01, E23, E25, and R11) and paper pieced with My Mind's Eye papers. All of the patterned papers are from My Mind's Eye. My accents include a couple of buttons, the Icing CutUps, and the Seeing Spots embossing folder. I also used the November Sketch For You To Try from Jen Del Muro.

For You Honey!

Happy Friday Friends! I've got a pretty good cold and laryngitis, so I'm going to keep this post on the short side. I've combined this week's Blogger's Challenge (Happy Haunting) with this week's sketch from the My Favorite Things Wednesday Stamp Club.

My little trick-or-treater is from the MFT Pure Innocence Honey Bee set. She is colored up with Copic Markers (BG70, C5, C7, C9, E000, E00, E23, E25, R11, Y21, Y26, YG25, YR12, and YR16). The sentiment is from the same set and I made the tiny tag and heart with the MFT Die-namics Notched Tag and Die set. The patterned papers are from October Afternoon and the card stock and button are from Papertrey Ink. The gingham ribbon is from May Arts. To make the white parts of the ribbon a little bit more creamy in color, I ran my E42 Copic Marker over it. Love the effect! I also added some Stardust Stickles to her bumblebee wings for some sparkles.

You Warm My Heart

Hello Friends! Autumn is in full swing here in New England. The air is cool and crisp...just the way that I like it. We spent a beautiful day in New York City yesterday. It was wonderful! Autumn is truly my favorite season. However, I have a Christmas card to share with you today...lol!

I started off with this sweet Pure Innocence girl from the MFT Snow Day set. She is colored up with Copic Markers (BG11, BG13, BG15, E000, E00, E01, E23, E25, R11, R29, and R39) and I added some Star Dust Stickles to make her sparkle. The sentiment is from the same set and it is stamped on a cream scrap that I cut out with the MFT Die-namics File Tab. All of the patterned papers are from My Mind's Eye and the Kraft and Pure Poppy card stock is from Papertrey Ink. I also added a PTI button and some Craft Thread from Paper Source to the second panel just to dress is up a bit.

Happy Friday Friends! I hope that you had a wonderful week. The weather has turned cool here in New England. It looks like it is going to be a beautiful Autumn weekend. They are accented with Perfectly Plum card stock from Stampin' Up and Kraft card stock from Papertrey Ink. My other accents include the MFT Die-namics Dainty Dots Border Die, a Perfectly Plum button, and some craft twine.
