Blogger's Challenge Celebration!

Hello and Happy Friday to you! If it's Friday, then it's Blogger's Challenge! This week's theme is "Celebration"! A new baby is always cause for a celebration, so here is my contribution. Quite a few people in my life are expecting little ones, so I'm sure this card with come in handy very soon. I started off with a card base of white and then I added a panel of Regal Rose with a strip of faux stitching at the top and the bottom. The long row of scallops was made with the Scallop Edge punch and the scallops around the main image were made with my Nesties. Speaking of the main image, it's from an old, but favorite Stampin' Up set of mine called Sweet & Simple Salutations. It has some really delightful images in the set. I then added a Making Memories Swirl with a touch of May Arts ribbon. The sentiment is from Stampin' Up's Nursery Necessities set. The patterned paper is designed by Susan Branch and I picked it up at Michaels. I added some Star Dust Stickles to all of the little heart buds for some extra sparkle. For more celebration inspiration, be sure to see what the other ladies in the Blogger's Challenge group have come up with. Have a beautiful day and thanks so much for stopping by...Toodles! :D

Merry Christmas to all...

and to all a good night! I just wanted to take a moment to wish you all a very Merry Christmas! Happy Holidays to you and yours! You truly are a special gift to me...thank you for all of your encouraging comments throughout this year. They mean oh so much!

Here is the card I made for our parish priest. The poor man must think that this is the only stamp I own...lol! Every year I make him a card with this lovely church from the retired Stampin' Up set, Silent Night. This year it is even more special because I used my brand new Top Note Die (a little Christmas gift to myself...lol). The church is stamped with Elegant Eggplant and then embossed with Iridescent Ice. The sentiment is a $1.00 stamp from Michaels. I used my Scor-Pal for the quilted background (one of my favorite things to do with this wonderful tool) and then added a few Making Memories Silver Brad to finish it off. Simple and hopefully a bit elegant.

Have a beautiful holiday. I'll be back on Friday with Blogger's Challenge...Toodles! :D

Blogger's Challenge...I Goofed!!!

Happy Friday! We've had an ice storm in New England today. That's why I'm posting a little later than usual. Between my little one's school closing, my school not closing, my hubby driving into work only to find out that it was closed and without electricity, and then a pair of broken eye glasses...it's been an interesting day here! Then to add to my many adventures...I sort of created the wrong thing for this week's Blogger's Challenge...ugh! This week's theme is really Holiday Ornaments or Decorations. For some reason, I thought that this week's theme was Holiday Gift Giving, but that was one of the weeks that I missed a little while back. Sorry for the mix up folks. If you need some wonderful decoration or ornament ideas, then please click on the Blogger's Challenge logo over in my sidebar. If you want to see a decorated tea tin from Papertrey Ink, then you came to the right place...lol! I thought that these would make great little treats for the teachers. I filled them with Hershey sticks. I know that those are one of my favorite treats...lol! I picked up this fun penguin paper at Michaels, but I've also seen it at AC Moore. I used Papertrey Ink's Holiday Treats set for the label and a Doodlebug Designs button with a tiny bit of black gingham ribbon for the center. I used my Mega Scallop Circle punch for the lid (one of the penguin images fit perfectly) and then I tied the tin shut with some black gingham ribbon. This idea came from Nichole Heady's blog. You can find the directions to her creation here. Thanks so much for stopping by. Hope you are warm and cozy tonight...Toodles! :D

I'm Back!

Happy Friday everyone! I hope that you are all well. My entire family has been hit with the nastiest colds we've ever had...ugh! We are all on antibiotics and prescription cough syrup. It has not been fun and it has left little time for stamping. I can't believe that I've missed two Blogger's Challenges in a row!!! As soon as I started to feel a little better, I got right to work on this card for this week's challenge. Our challenge is to use Bashful Blue, Kiwi Kiss, Close to Cocoa, Tangerine Tango, and White or Vanilla. I pulled out this set (Stampin' Up's Blooming With Love) and started using my inks to color it up. The button was made with a Making Memories Page Pebble and a circle of Tangerine Tango along with a thin strip of Kiwi Kiss card stock for the thread. A bit of faux stitching and a couple of loops of Tangerine Tango grosgrain ribbon complete my card. For some more inspiration with these colors, please check out what the other ladies in the Blogger's Challenge group came up with. Thanks so much for stopping by today. Have a wonderful weekend...Toodles! :D

Thanksgiving Place Card Box Tutorial

I received an email this past week for the directions for the place card box from THIS post. I quickly read the email, but I accidently deleted it...ugh! I think it was from someone named Phyllis. So if Phyllis is out there...this is for you. Sorry it took so long for me to get back to you. The good news is that these little boxes are quick and easy to make, so you still have time before the holidays! Here goes my first tutorial with pictures. (Just click on the photograph for a better view.)

1. Start with a piece of 11" x 6" card stock.
2. Score the longer side at 4-1/2" and 6-1/2".

3. Score the shorter side at 1-1/4" and 4-3/4".

If you are using a Scor-Pal, line the card stock up with the arrow between the 3" and 4" mark and then score at 5", turn your card stock, line it up at the arrow again and score at 5" again.

4. Now, with scissors or your paper trimmer, cut the 4 score lines 4-1/2" up at each 1-1/4" mark.

5. Cut 2-1/2" off each of the four 1-1/4" strips.

6. This is what your cardstock should look like now (fingers crossed).

7. Fold the side flaps in and then secure. I used Provo Craft's Terrifically Tacky Tape.

8. Fold the front and back flaps up and hold, punch a hole in both, and then tie together with ribbon.

Clear as mud...right?...lol! I do hope this helps. This box idea came from my friend Lauren Salzberg. Let me know how your creations come out if you try these. I'd love to see them! I mounted a front panel with Storage Units, Ink and More's Indian Maiden on my original one, but I bet these would look wonderful with randomly stamped images on the card stock even before you begin scoring and cutting. I think I'll use this sample one for Christmas. Thanks so much for stopping by...Toodles! :D

I'm a lucky girl!!!

Last week, Her Royal Rubberness, Julie Ebersole, and Linda Carnell, the founder of A Muse Artstamps came to New England for a visit!!! I have had the pleasure of meeting Linda before. What a wonderful lady she is! This time around, I was fortunate enough to finally meet JULIE EBERSOLE!!! Yahoo! She is such a fun and happy person! Such a talent! Here I am with Julie! (Yes, I am even shorter than she is...lol!) Because I was finishing up my teaching re-certification classes this past weekend, I didn't have the opportunity to take one of their classes, but I made sure I drove out to the stamp store just so I could visit with them for a moment.

Being around all of this talent, I was inspired to use my A Muse stamps, and make some holiday ornaments for my mother-in-law. Her church was having their annual holiday craft fair. These little tins are actually wedding favor tins from Wilton. I got them in a package of 30 from Michaels. Julie told me that she uses watchmaker tins from leevalley.com to make her ornaments. I stamped all of my A Muse images on circles and then I adhered them to the inside of the tin. I made two little holes with my paper piercer for the silver cord. Next, I added a little bit of imitation snow (next time I'll try cotton...this was a bit messy for me...lol!), put the clear, metal rimmed, lid on and then ran red line tape around the outer edge of the tin. Over the tape, I added my gingham ribbon. Then I added a bow to the top to finish it off.

I'm sorry that the pictures are a bit all over the place. I had a little trouble in the editting and resizing department today...lol! I hope that you are warm and cozy where you are...Old Man Winter has arrived here and brought the cold weather with him! Thanks so much for stopping by...Toodles! :D

Oh Happy Friday!

I'm thrilled that it is finally Friday! We had Tuesday off from school, but for some reason, that seems to make the week feel even longer...ugh! This week's Blogger's Challenge is a color challenge. We needed to use Baja Breeze, Chocolate Chip, and White or Vanilla. I've had this card in my head all week long, but I just didn't have a moment to put it all together until last night during Grey's Anatomy. Along with all of the required colors, I used Stampin' Up's Priceless set, a little bit of paper piercing, and a touch of Star Dust Stickles on each of the centers of the flowers. For more inspiration with these beautiful colors, just click on the Blogger's Challenge logo on the right side of my blog. Thank you so much for stopping by...Toodles! :D

Blogger's Challenge and Taylor's Cupcake Challenge!

This week's Blogger's Challenge is called, "Same, but different". We could do two cards using the same layout or two cards using the same stamps. As you can see, I went with the same stamps. I just got Stampin' Up's Crazy For Cupcakes this week and I've already used it three times!!! That's a record for me! The first card uses one of my favorite layouts and some of my favorite retired Stampin' Up Designer Paper (Petals and Paisleys) along with Stampin' Up's Cool Caribbean (retired) and Pretty in Pink. The buttons are from Doodlebug Designs and the ribbon is from American Crafts. I also used Star Dust Stickles on the candle flame, the sprinkles, and the cupcake wrapper. For the second card, I decided to give Taylor's Cupcake Challenge a try. Don't ask me why I've yet to try one of her challenges, but this is my first one! I used the sketch that she posted for today's challenge, but I had to change it up just a little bit. The sketch called for the sentiment to be on the bottom of the card, but that just wasn't working for this creation, so I moved it over to the side. I'm much happier with the results.
This card uses some more retired Stampin' Up Designer Paper (Dots and Dashes), Cool Caribbean card stock, and Tangerine Tango card stock. I made the "Happy Birthday to You" circle by stamping the sentiment right side up, turning it around, lining it up, and then stamping it again. A Doodlebug Designs button fit perfectly in the middle. The scallop circle is punched from a scrap of Cool Caribbean and I used my paper piercer for the tiny holes. More Doodlebug button are in each corner of the card. I added Star Dust Stickles to this card as well. I'm off to check out what the other ladies have come up with. If you'd like to as well, just click on the "Blogger's Challenge" logo on the right side of my blog. Thank you so much for stopping by today. Have a wonderful weekend...Toodles! :D

Splitcoaststampers Challenges!!!

I have wanted to find the time to stamp since Sunday morning when I saw the Featured Stamper Challenge over on SCS, but the cards were stacked against me! (No pun intended...lol!) Becca is one talented card maker! Then Monday's SCS Technique Challenge intrigued me (more inspiration from Becca), but I didn't have the correct kind of punch for the technique. I fixed that problem last night when I went to the new Michaels that just opened in the area. I was able to get this punch and it worked like a charm to create Becca's circle medallion. My Stampin' Up order came today along with some of the new In-Colors (and Crazy for Cupcakes) that were in today's SCS Color Challenge so I had to give that a try too. However, I was so excited about using my new colors that after I finished the card, I realized that I was to use Pretty in Pink and I accidently went with Pink Pirourette...oops! I'm still happy with the way it all came together though. My inspiration was this card from Becca and the video to make Becca's medallion can be found here. My details include a Riding Hood Red faux button with a paper thread of Kiwi Kiss. The three little Riding Hood Red faux brads were made from a hole punch. My Swiss Dots embossing folder and a piece of white grosgrain ribbon complete this card. Thanks so much for stopping by this evening...Toodles! :D

Lots to Share!

Happy Friday Everyone! Happy Halloween too! I have a few things to share with you today. First off is my card for this week's Bloggers Challenge. Yes, you guessed it...the challenge was to make a Halloween card! I used one of my favorite images from Stampendous. It's paired up with some Tangerine Tango and Lovely Lilac card stock from Stampin' Up. The patterned paper was in my stash and I've apparently cut off the maker (oops!). This May Arts ribbon matched all of the colors beautifully (Love it when that happens!) I really thought that the photo corner on the bottom left needed something. I don't have any Tangerine Tango brads, so I improvised and made a few circles with my hole punch and a scrap of Tangerine Tango. It worked perfectly! I really think that it helped pull this card together.

The other two things that I have to share are (quite sadly) my last two creations as a Design Team member of Storage Units, Ink & More. (By the way, they have a new release coming out tomorrow...Be sure to check it out!) My new job is definitely getting in the way of my stamping time...lol! I really want to thank Denise for the wonderful opportunity, and I am so proud to say that I was part of a team with a truly amazing group of ladies! My little place card box will be perfect for this year's Thanksgiving celebration. I can fill it with little goodies and everyone will know just where to sit! The base is Core'dinations card stock with a touch of Tangerine Tango card stock and ribbon. The sweet Indian Maiden is from the Giving Thanks set and I pierced around the image for a little bit of extra interest. I received this template from my friend Lauren. As soon as I can get some directions up for you, I will.
Finally, this card also uses the Giving Thanks set with Core'dinations card stock. As you can see, I had quite a bit of fun with my paper piercer on this one...lol! Stampin' Up's Scallop Circle Punch and a few buttons from Doodlebug Designs complete my card. Thank you so much for stopping by today! Have a wonderful weekend...Toodles!!! :D

Splitcoaststampers Sketch Challenge!

I was lucky enough to have a chance to make a card for today's Sketch Challenge over on Splitcoaststampers. By sheer luck, I had these Indian corn images from the Giving Thanks set from Storage Units, Ink and More all stamped, colored, and cut into 1-1/2" squares! They worked perfectly with today's 200th sketch!! Along with the SUINK stamps, I used some French Roast Core'dinations card stock, a bit of patterned paper from K & Company, some May Arts ribbon, Stampin' Up's Large Oval Punch, and my favorite Cuttlebug embossing folder. This card will be perfect for some family friends that are building a new home in our town. Thanks so much for stopping by today...Toodles! :D

My Best Shot!

Well, these computer troubles certainly happened at an awful time...ugh! The laptop is still not working as well as I would like it to, so here I am on our old computer. It is very limited in what it can do, but I'm giving it my best shot! It knocks me offline every two minutes, so who knows if this post will even work...I've got my fingers crossed!!! :D

Here is a card for today's Featured Stamper challenge over on Splitcoaststampers. I was inspired by this card from Kay. She does incredible work! Be sure to check out her gallery for some inspiration! I used my Vote for Me set from Storage Units, Ink and More! The images were stamped on Confetti card stock and all of the colored card stock is from Core'dinations (Raspberry, Royal, and Tranquil Blue). I was able to use my Scor-Pal on the Royal panel. Some Real Red Grosgrain Ribbon from Stampin' Up and a bit of faux sewing finish off my card.

Thanks so much for putting up with all of this computer craziness! Hopefully, my laptop will be back to new very soon! Enjoy what's left of the evening...Toodles!!! :D

The Computer is Ill!!!

Hello to all my friends in Bloggy Land. I am having major computer problems! Ack! Apparently, my sweet little computer has caught a VIRUS...ugh! I've been without computer access for the week...no email, no blog updating (If you're out there Denise...I haven't forgot about you!), no blog hopping...it's like life before technology!!! I must say...it's been an adjustment!!! I'll be updating things just as soon as everything is back to normal. Thanks for hanging in there with me! Have a wonderful weekend...Toodles! :D

Fall Inspiration!

We've had some lovely autumn weather here in New England! Not only are the leaves beautiful, but it's been warm enough to enjoy all of the wonderful things that this glorious season has to offer! The two cards that I'm sharing were made this past Sunday at a mini card class that my friend Lauren has each month. She designs lovely cards, but I always manage to change up a few things to make them my own...lol! Lauren is always very kind about it too. This card uses some of her new goodies from the Stampin' Up Holiday Mini Catalog. The set is called Season of Friendship, and the designer paper is the new Autumn Vine series. Accented with More Mustard, Really Rust, Old Olive and Chocolate Chip inks and card stock...a perfect card for Fall!
The next card uses one of the new sets from the Stampin' Up Fall-Winter Catalog called Upsy Daisy. The blossoms and the card base are Really Rust. Layers of Old Olive and Chocolate Chip were added along with the Patterns Designer Series Paper in Old Olive. Best Wishes from Sincere Salutations was stamped in Old Olive. A strip of 1" Double-Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon in Chocolate Chip completes this card. I hope that these two cards provide you with a bit of Fall inspiration. Thanks so much for stopping by...Toodles! :D

I Just Love It When...

...a card actually turns out the way I had it planned in my head! That doesn't happen around here all the time...lol! This week's Blogger's Challenge is a color challenge. Our creations need to include Riding Hood Red, Old Olive, and Really Rust. I used inks in the challenge colors to color up my Stampendous image. The patterned paper is from one of the Stampin' Up's retired holiday paper packs. To end up with Riding Hood Red buttons, I simply punched a 1/2" circle of the red and placed the circle under a clear button. I lined up the button holes and made holes in the paper circle with my paper piercer. I held the button and the paper circle together with a very narrow strip of Old Olive. This is my favorite thing to do when I don't have the colored button that I need! A little faux sewing, an A Muse holiday sentiment, and some Star Dust Stickles complete my card. For some more inspiration with these lovely colors, you can check out what the other members of the group came up with here. Have a Happy Friday, and thanks a bunch for stopping by today...Toodles! :D

Blogger's Inspiration Challenge!!!

Good Friday Morning! In fact, it's a great Friday morning!! I have the day off from work...lol! It is a great day to have off because it means that I can post my Blogger's Challenge card on time. Yippee! This week, we were given this photograph to inspire us. Usually, I'm not very good at these kinds of challenges, but I gave it my best shot. I was inspired by the patterns and the colors in the quilt, so I started off with a piece of black and white Doodlebug Designs patterned paper. I cut it up into squares to resemble the quilt pattern. I mounted the squares onto larger squares of white from Papertrey Ink and then onto a layer of black cardstock. I pulled in the color red with a piece of Stampin' Up's Red Grosgrain Ribbon, a Real Red oval under the sentiment (Stampin' Up's Small Sayings), and I stamped the little heart with Real Red ink.
I can't wait to see what the other ladies have come up with! You can check out their creations here. Thanks so much for stopping by today. I'll be back tomorrow with another creation to share with you. I hope that your Friday is a great one too...Toodles! :D

Blogger's Challenge Friday...One Day Late!

Happy Saturday! I know. I know. I'm a day late for this week's Blogger's Challenge! What a week it has been, and I finally had the chance to photograph my card today and get it posted! This week's challenge was called, "Falling for You". Sticking with that theme, we were to make an anniversary or love themed card. I made this anniversary card with a few fall characters (my favorite owl pair from Stampendous) and just a touch of fall colors (Stampin' Up's Kiwi Kiss and Chocolate Chip). I'm now off to go and get some inspiration from my fellow Blogger's. You can check out what they've created here. Enjoy your weekend and thanks so much for stopping by...Toodles! :D

Good Monday Morning! It's my turn to share a sneak peek from Storage Units, Ink and More!!! My creation uses their soon to be released set, "Vote For Me" ! I then added Core'dination's Royal and Raspberry for accent colors along with a few Making Memories Brads and a piece of Stampin' Up Real Red Grosgrain Ribbon. SCS - Featured Stamper Challenge!

I had just enough daylight here to snap a photograph of my creation today. I was inspired by Shannon's creation over on Splitcoaststampers. She is today's Featured Stamper and what a wonderful gallery she has. My clipboard is a smaller version than hers. It measures 4" x 6". I started off by covering the wooden clipboard with some Doodlebug Designs paper. My "31" was made with my Cuttlebug Tag Sale dies in Core'dinations Orange with a scalloped square in Core'dinations Forget-Me-Knot. In case you haven't guessed, my favorite set from Storage Units, Ink & More's September release is Monster Party...lol! I just adore that little Mummy!!! I used my Karen Foster Snap Stamps for the words, "days til halloween". A touch of May Arts ribbon on the clip and an American Crafts button balance out my design.

My little one is just ga-ga about this little countdown to Halloween clipboard. Too bad we need to wait a few more days to start the countdown...lol! Thanks so much for stopping by...Toodles! :D

Fall Is Fun!

I can't believe it's already Friday again! This week sure went by fast! Things have been quite busy over here, but I still managed to squeeze in some much needed stamping time! This week's Blogger's Challenge is to watercolor. One of my very favorite things to do. I haven't perfected this technique yet, but I sure have fun trying.

My stamps for today's card are from Storage Units, Ink and More! The set is called Leaf It To Me. The card base is Core'dinations Crab Grass. The accent colors are Orange, Bon-Bon, and Poinsettia (all from Core'dinations). My accessories include some faux stitching, a bit of paper piercing, my Stampin' Up Scallop Circle punch, and of course, a button with some Pumpkin Grosgrain Ribbon...lol!

Hope you have a chance to check out what the other members of the Blogger's Challenge group have done. Just click here. Thanks so much for stopping by today! Have a Happy Friday! Toodles!!! :D

Whachadoin' Wednesday Challenge!

Are you up for a little challenge? Well, if you are, then head on over to the SUINK blog and join in! We'd love to see what you come up with! This week's challenge is for you to use at least 5 different stamps on 1 card. As you can see, I went with 8 different stamps. My monster group (yes, it's definitely one of my favorites) is from the Storage Units, Ink & More set, Monster Party and the "Trick or Treat" sentiment is from their set The Witching Hour. The card base is Core'dinations Paprika...a great color for the upcoming season. I used a touch of Core'dinations Forget-Me-Knot for one of the circles that are layered on the Paprika scalloped circle with a few Making Memories brads for accents. Thanks so much for stopping by today...Toodles!!! :D

Leaf It To Me!

It was a rainy day here yesterday, so I had a little bit of extra time for stamping. Those are always great kinds of days...right? I participated in the Featured Stamper Challenge over on SCS. You can find all of the details here. For this card, I used the Leaf It To Me set from Storage Units, Ink and More. My main image is colored with watercolor crayons and Stampin' Up inks. The piles of leaves are stamped with Colorbox Ink in Tangerine. My card base is Core'dinations Crab Grass. I also used Core'dinations Orange and Honey. I couldn't believe that I had these cute little leaf eyelets in my stash!! What luck!! It's been ages since I've used eyelets...I almost forgot how...lol! I finished the card off with some paper piercing and some Stampin' Up Pumpkin Grosgrain.

Hope you all have a Happy Monday! Thanks so much for stopping by...Toodles!!! :D

Blogger's Challenge - Designer Paper

It's Friday! Oh, happy Friday! Friday means Blogger's Challenge and I just LOVE Blogger's Challenge! This week, we were challenged to use designer paper. I went with Trick or Treat Mini Dots from The Paper Company Studio. I paired it up with Core'dinations cardstock in Tangerine, Mantis, and Forget Me Knot. My sweet little Mummy is from Storage Units, Ink and More's Monster Party and the sentiment is from their Witching Hour set. My Marvy Giga Scalloped Circle punch helped me out today with a touch of piercing in each scallop. I then added some faux stitching in each top corner of the card base and some Stampin' Up Pumpkin grosgrain ribbon to complete my card. Could you use some inspiration with designer paper? Then click here to check out what the other members of the Blogger's Challenge group have come up with. Have a wonderful day! Thank you so much for stopping by...Toodles! :D

Blogger's Color Challenge!!!

Happy Friday! That means that it is time for another Blogger's Challenge. Get those sunglasses on girls...you're going to need them...lol! This week's challenge is to use Stampin' Up's new in-colors...Kiwi Kiss, Riding Hood Red, Pacific Point, and Tangerine Tango. I actually went with Core'dinations...Palm Grove, Poinsettia, Marine Blue, and Orange. They match beautifully! I also added a strip of Stampin' Up's Bella Rose Designer Paper. My sweet little pumpkin girl is part of Storage Units, Ink and More's September release. The image and sentiment are from the Kooky Costumes set. She is colored up with a mixture of markers and watercolor pencils. The sentiment is embossed with white embossing powder and I added a row of faux stitching to the top and bottom of the card. The Marine Blue button was made with a Making Memories Page Pebble and a hole punch (saw this idea awhile ago on Nichole Heady's blog, but I can't seem to find the link to her tutorial...when I do, I'll pass that along) and then I put a strip of Poinsettia paper through the holes to act as thread. The scallops were made with the new edge punch from Stampin' Up (Love that thing!!!) There you have it...Blogger's Challenge #63! To see what the other members of the group did with this color challenge, just click here. Thanks so much for stopping by...Toodles!!! :D

If The Hat's Missing...

I've gone fishing! This will be perfect for my brother's birthday. He loves to fish!

I have finally invested in a Scor-Pal (Yippee!) and that is how I was able to make the lattice work on my Core'dinations Raspberry Red card base. Please click on the picture for a better view. My sweet little fishing guy from Storage Units, Ink and More's Look What I Caught set is colored up with an assortment of markers and watercolor pencils. I added a layer of Core'dinations Lake cardstock and a few Making Memories brads to finish off my creation.

I do hope that you all had a wonderful long weekend. Thanks so much for checking in today...Toodles!!! :D

Kooky Costumes with a Twist!

Today is Storage Units, Ink and More's September release, and what a release it is!! Have you seen all of the new sets yet? No? Well then, go ahead and check them out here! For this card, I used the Kooky Costumes set and instead of making a card for Halloween, I tried for a birthday card. I immediately though of birthdays when I saw this cupcake, so I used some fun and girly party colors that were inspired by this sheet of Stampin' Up designer paper (Core'dinations Nassau Blue, Malaysian Orchid, and Sugan-N-Spice). The sentiment and punches were also from Stampin' Up. The button came from my stash and I used a marker to color some white grosgrain to match the orchid cardstock. If you click on the photograph, you'll be able to see the Star Dust Stickles that I used.

Hope you like my little twist on this new Halloween set! Thanks so much for stopping by...Toodles!!! :D

They Did The Mash...They Did The Monster Mash!!!

Could these guys be any cuter? Here they are...ready for the big bash! This is my sneak peek for Storage Units, Ink and More's new Monster Party set, that will be released tomorrow! Kathie's blog has another sneak peek for the new release as well. Also, today is the last day to enter the give-away over on the Storage Units, Ink and More blog, so if you haven't made a guess yet, be sure to head on over.

Here are the details for this card. It measures 5-1/2" x 5-1/2" and each Confetti White square is 1-1/2" x 1-1/2". My little buddies are inked up in Black Stazon and then colored with a combination of markers and watercolored pencils. The Core'dinations cardstock colors are Tangerine, Kiwi, Forget Me Not, and Nassau Blue. The button was taken from my stash and then I added a touch of May Arts ribbon. I finished the card off with some Orange Peel Stickles (tis the season, you know...lol!) Thank you so much for stopping by today! Have a wonderful Labor Day weekend...Toodles!!! :D

Blogger's Challenge - Labor Day!!

Happy Friday Everyone! Sorry this is late, but this post has certainly been a labor of love...lol! I have had such a difficult time posting today. I'm not sure what it is, but I do hope that this works!! This week's Blogger's Challenge theme is Labor Day...a patriotic card or a baby card. As you can see, I went with the baby theme. The main image is a Studio G stamp and the sentiment is from Stampin' Up Small Sayings (retired). I also used Stampin' Up's Regal Rose, Rose Red, Certainly Celery, and So Saffron cardstock along with some Stampin' Up Rose Grosgrain Ribbon. A simple design, but one of my favorites. In fact, I made this card some time ago, but never shared it here on my blog. I made a different card for today's challenge, but I sent it to a friend and the photographs that I took before I sent it out did not turn out well at all. Fortunately, I had this card in my stash and fit this week's theme, so I was quite lucky! Be sure to see what the other members of the Blogger's Challenge group came up with here.

Now if you checked in today for some more Storage Units, Ink and More Sneak Peeks then you need to head on over to Leigh's blog. I promise...You won't be disappointed! You still have time to make a guess for Denise's giveaway, so be sure to stop by the SU Ink & More Blog. Thanks so much for stopping by tonight! I'll be back tomorrow...Toodles!!! :D

The end of the month means that the sneak peeks begin for the Storage Units, Ink and More Design Team! Wait until you see the new stamp release that Denise has put together!!! It's FABULOUS!!! Being the generous person that Denise is, she has decided to give you all a chance to win ALL SIX SEPTEMBER RELEASES! Do you want to know how??? Just head on over to the SU Ink Blog and leave your guess as to how many candies are in this delightful container (psst...there is a little peek of one of the sets on the top of the container...isn't she darling?) If you'd like to see a bit more of her, then head on over to Lauren Meader's blog. She has a sneak peek waiting for you. Susan Liles is sharing a sneak peek today on her blog as well. You won't want to miss that because it's scary, but in a good way...lol! So, do you have a guess yet? Here's another look...
I'll be back tomorrow with my Blogger's Challenge card and I'll have a sneak peek for you all on Sunday. Good luck guessing! Thanks for stopping by...Toodles!!! :D

A Trifecta of Challenges!!!

Happy Friday Everyone! I have always envied the stampers that can put a few different challenges together to create one card, and now I've finally been able to do this myself! Little things make me so happy...lol! Here's the rundown...On Tuesday, the challenge from A Spoonfull of Sugar was this wonderful sketch. Then on Wednesday, Denise over at Storage Units, Ink & More issued the challenge to make one of your cards sparkle. Here is another card for that challenge. Remember, you can still play the Whachadoin' Wednesday Challenges even if you don't use SU Ink stamps. Today is Friday, and you know what that means...Blogger's Challenge!! Our challenge this week is to use Stampin' Up's Chocolate Chip, Old Olive, More Mustard, and Ruby Red. I used my watercolor crayons in these colors to color up my sweet monkey friend from Stampendous. I curved the sentiment that came with this Stampendous set to fit just above Monkey. The birthday sentiment in white craft ink is from Stampin' Up's Small Sayings (retired). The Ruby Red panel was put through my 'bug with the Swiss Dots Embossing Folder and the More Mustard panel is stamped with a stamp that I picked up at the Target Dollar Spot. I added some Star Dust Stickles to Monkey's birthday cake, a bit of faux stitching, and a button with some May Arts Sheer Polka Dot ribbon. There you have it...my first time combining three challenges for one card! You can click on any of the links above to be inspired by these wonderful challenges. I hope that you'll be able to play along too! Thanks so much for stopping by today...Toodles!!! :D
