You Rule!

Happy Thursday Friends! I can't believe that it's only Thursday and I already have yesterday's My Favorite Things Wednesday Stamp Club Sketch done...lol! That almost never happens! You can find the sketch and all of the details here. I needed a card for former colleague. She's a principal at another school and has just been awarded a special honor so this sweet, little Pure Innocence girl fit the bill. She is colored up with Copic Markers (B95, B97, B99, E000, E00, E11, E25, E29, E40, E42, E44, R20, R29, Y21, Y32, YG63, and YG67). She is from the My Favorite Things set, You Make the Grade. The sentiment is from the new a la mode set, You Rule. All of these pretty papers are from the Stella and Rose collection from My Mind's Eye. They are accented with some Not Quite Navy card stock and some Kraft card stock from Papertrey Ink. I also added some Hero Arts crocheted lace, some cream colored craft thread, and a Not Quite Navy button made with my Sizzix die. Thanks so much for visiting with me today! Have a happy day...Toodles!

Loads of Wishes!

Hello again! I hope that you enjoyed your day! Today is a special day in our family because it just happens to be my Dad's birthday! Happy Birthday Daddy! This is the birthday card that I made for him. This delightful set is from Papertrey Ink. It is called Tiny Treats: Birthday. This sweet little truck reminded me of the one that my Dad drove when I was a little girl. The best part is that when I gave him his card...he was reminded of the same truck! I used the Mat Stack 5 die from PTI to cut out the Baja Breeze polka dotted piece. The papers are from Basic Grey and the buttons are from Papertrey Ink. I added two different kinds of stitiching to the main panel and the card stock strip. Short and sweet post for tonight. Thanks so much for visiting with me...Toodles! :D

Two Cards to Share!

Happy Monday Friends! I hope that you had a wonderful weekend! If you stopped by on Friday, then you already know that I had the opportunity to meet Kim from My Favorite Things stamps and Alma from The Cat's Pajamas rubber stamps. These two lovely Ladies offered make and takes at Right at Home Scrapbooking store. I was in the group that worked with the upcoming release (this evening) from The Cat's Pajamas...so ADORABLE! The new release from My Favorite Things (April 5th, I think) is just around the corner, and I was lucky enough to sneak a peek at what's to come. You definitely won't be disappointed! I have two cards to share with you tonight. The first card is for the Inspiration Challenge over on Alma's blog. You can find all of the details here. I loved all of the pinks in the photographs. So sweet! That inspired me to pull out some papers from My Mind's Eye and I went from there. This delightful little bear is from the soon to be released set, What a Blast from The Cat's Pajamas. When I say soon, I mean tonight...lol! You can head over to the release party over at Splitcoaststampers right here. My little bear is colored up with Copic Markers (BG02, E11, E15, E17, R22, and R24) and I used some coordinating papers on his pinwheel. The little clouds and sentiment are from the same set. I added some Cotton Candy Divine Twine (in Jackie Pedro style) and a button from Papertrey Ink. The grass was made with the MFT Die-namics Fresh Cut Grass die and some Certainly Celery card stock. A little bit of sewing around the main panel finishes off the creation. My next card is for the sketch for the My Favorite Things Wednesday Stamp Club. You can find the sketch here. This sweet little Pure Innocence girl is from the MFT set Something Special Just For You. She is colored up with Copic Markers (B12, B14, BG000, C0, E00, E01, E11, E25, E27, E40, Y11, Y21, YG11, YG13, and the Colorless Blender) and her dress is paper pieced. I've had this sweetie in my stamp collection for quite some time now and for some reason she hadn't been introduced to any ink, so I'm going to include this in Jessie's Forgotten Stamp Friday challenge too. All of the patterned papers for this one are from the Spotted Owl Soup collection from Jillibean Soup. I added the MFT Die-namics Hearts-a-Plenty die and the Die-namics Little Open Scallop Strip. The Dark Chocolate and the Lemon Tart card stock are from Papertrey Ink, along with the button and the Baker's Twine. Thanks so much for taking the time to visit with me this evening. I'll be back tomorrow! Until then...Toodles! :D

You're in My Prayers

I am so happy that today is Friday. It has been another busy week here and I'm really looking forward to the weekend. I'm especially looking forward to this evening because I'm heading to Right at Home Scrapbooking store. I will have the wonderful opportunity to meet Kim from My Favorite Things stamps and Alma from The Cat's Pajamas! How fun and exciting! It will also be a great time to meet up with some stamping friends of mine.

My card today is for this week's Blogger's Challenge. Lisa came up with this fantastic sketch for us to play with. If you'd like to play along too, just head over to her blog here. For this one, I combined a sentiment from the My Favorite Things More Essential Sentiments set with their Die-namics Layered Label Die. The patterned papers are from the Stella and Rose collection from My Mind's Eye. I also used So Saffon and Night of Navy card stock from Stampin' Up. The So Saffron strip was embossed with the Cuttlebug Swiss Dots folder and then sewed onto the patterned paper layer. I also used some So Saffron grosgrain ribbon with some Night satin ribbon from the Paper Source. A few pearls in the opposite corners complete the sketch.

Thank you so much for stopping by for a visit today. Have a Happy Friday...Toodles! :D

Bear Hugs & Kisses!

Hello again! Yes, this is my second post for the day! Can you believe it? Well, I've been looking at the sketch over on Alma's blog since last Tuesday and tonight I decide to just go for it and give it a try. For some reason, those triangles were scaring me, and now they're my favorite part of the sketch! Go figure...lol! My sweet little Teddy and the sentiment are from the Bear Hugs set from The Cat's Pajamas. He's colored up with Copic Markers (E11, E15, and E17) and the heart is paper pieced with some Stella and Rose paper from My Mind's Eye. In fact, all of the patterned papers are from this collection. I had a lot fun with my sewing machine on this one. I added some natural Twill and I made a matching button from a clear one that I found in my stash. That about covers it. Short and sweet tonight! I'm off to get ready for my favorite show of the week...Castle on ABC! Hope that you had a happy day! Thanks for stopping by...Toodles! :D

Going Green!

It's here! Spring is here! I have a little project to share that I made for Lisa over at Right at Home Scrapbooking store. To celebrate Spring, Lisa gave me these biodegradable planting pots to play with this month and this is what I came up with.
All of the blossoms were made with the My Favorite Things Die-namics Rolled Rose Die. The best part is that each one was made with scraps of white felt that I already had on hand. I'm so glad that I saved them because the worked perfectly for this recycling project. I attached the roses to a Styro Foam with corsage pins. Here is a close up of the top.

For the leaves, I simply snipped some from some of this beautiful May Arts ribbon. I attached a few pearls to the ribbon that went around the flower pot to tie the whole thing together. Here's a close up of the side for you too.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Happy Spring! Until next time...Toodles! :D

Blessings!

Good Saturday Morning Friends! I told you that I'd be back today. For today's card, I combined Joanne's Blogaversary Challenge, which you can find here, with this past Wednesday's sketch for the My Favorite Things Wednesday Stamp Club. You can find all of the details and the sketch here. I really love the sketches that the MFT Ladies come up with each week! The three things that I used from Joanne's list this time around are Kraft Card Stock, a pink and orange and ivory color combination, and some ledger paper. All of the patterned papers are from My Mind's Eye. My Pure Innocence girl is colored up with Copic Markers ( E00, E11, E25, E27, E33, E35, R20, R32, R35, RV11, YR00, YR12, YR15, and YR18). She is from the My Favorite Things My Basket of Eggs set (which seems to be out of stock at the moment). My accents include a couple of orange brads, some ivory twill, and a Pumpkin Pie button. I also used the My Favorite Things Die-namics Little Open Scallop Strip along with some Kaiser Craft pearls. Thanks so much for visiting with me today. I hope that you enjoy your weekend. I'll be back on Monday with some creations for Right at Home Scrapbooking store. Until then...Toodles! :D

A Whole Lotta Challenges Going On!

Good Friday Morning Friends! It's been an awfully long week here and I'm looking forward to the weekend. Today's card combines a few challenges. The sketch is from Jen Del Muro's March Sketch For You To Try. This week's Blogger's Challenge theme is Spring Flowers. My Pure Innocence girl hasn't been used since last summer, so I needed to pull her out for Forgotten Stamp Friday. The recipe for this card came from Joanne Basile. She has posted a challenge for her Fourth Blogaversary. You can find all of the details here. We needed to pick three elements from Joanne's list. I chose Kraft Card Stock, Mixed Stitching, and Twine. My patterned papers are from the Stella and Rose collection from My Mind's Eye. I used a straight stitch on the horizontal pieces and a zig zag stitch on the gingham panel. All of the panels are accented with Not Quite Navy Card Stock. The image is from the My Favorite Things set, Blooming Good Day (now available in Cling Rubber!!) She is colored up with Copic Markers (BG000, BG13, BG18, C3, C5, C7, E000, E00, E11, E25, E27, G21, G82, R20, R22, R24, and Y35) and her dress is paper pieced. The button is from Papertrey Ink and it is accented with some yellow and white Baker's Twine. I didn't add a sentiment on the front of this one because this will go into a package for my DH's grandmother. She likes to have blank cards on hand. That way she can use them for any occasion. Thanks so much for stopping by today. I'm hoping to be back tomorrow with another card to share with you. Until then...Toodles! :D

Celebrate!

Hello Friends! I'm late for all of my favorite challenges, but I always like to play along so here is my card for this past week's Blogger's Challenge (Birthday theme), Forgotten Stamp Friday, and the sketch from the My Favorite Things Wednesday Stamp Club. My Pure Innocence girl is from the My Favorite Things Bunch of Blooms set. The sentiment comes from their Birthday Princess set. She is colored up with Copic Markers (BG01, BG02, E000, E00, E11, E25, E29, G82, YR15, YR16, and YR18) and popped up on these wonderful papers from the Stella and Rose collection from My Mind's Eye. The Aqua Mist Twill and Button are from Papertrey Ink. The sweet, little heart in the corner was made with the MFT Die-namics Hearts-A-Plenty die. Thanks so much for visiting with me tonight...Toodles! :D

Some Signs of Spring!

Happy Tuesday Friends! I have made some cards for Right At Home Scrapbooking store to share with you today. I hope that you can take some time to sit back and relax and get inspired. All of the cards showcase these wonderful papers from the Life is Good collection from Echo Park.

This little sweetie is from the Pure Innocence Mud Buddies set from My Favorite Things. She is colored up with Copic Markers (BG11, BG13, E000, E00, E11, E15, E17, G20, G21, R20, R81, R83, and R85) and then added to a panel with some zig zag stitching. The grass is made with My Favorite Things Die-namics Fresh Cut Grass Die. I added some Basic Grey buttons in place of the flower blossoms. The sentiment is stamped in Memento Rich Cocoa ink and accented with a button and some Baker's Twine. The chocolate colored twill is such a great accent for these papers.

My next card also uses the Mud Buddies set. I've colored her up with Copic Markers (B93, B95, B97, BG000, C1, C3, C5, E000, E00, E11, E15, E17, E27, E29, E40, R20, R35, R37, YG17, YG25, YR21, and YR24) and I sewed this layer to the green panel. This time I paired her with the My Favorite Things Die-namics Simply Scallops Die and I added some Kaiser Crafts Crystals.

I hope that you are still with me because I have two more cards to share. This was a layout from one of Jen Del Muro's past sketches. My little Mud Buddy girl is colored up with Copic Markers (BG01, BG02, E000, E00, E11, E25, E27, R20, G20, G21, R81, R83, and R85) and cut out with Nestabilities. I added some Basic Grey buttons to the bottom right corner that I accented with some more Baker's Twine. The sun was made with the My Favorite Things Die-namics Sunshine die and accented with another Basic Grey button.

Are you ready for my last card today? Here it is...

This time around, I used the My Favorite Things Die-namics Rolled Rose die along with some Bo Bunny polka dotted card stock to make the flowers. I LOVE these blue blossoms. The leaves were made with the MFT Die-namics Sheltering Tree and Leaf Trio Die. I also added the MFT Die-namics Little Open Scallop Strip Die as an accent. The sentiment is from the My Favorite Things Die-namics Framed Greetings set. Thanks so much for hanging in there with me for this longer than usual post. All of these supplies can be found at Right At Home Scrapbooking store in North Attleboro. You'll find their link in my right side bar. I hope that you have a beautiful day...Toodles! :D

Happy Spring!

Well, technically, it isn't Spring yet, but when half of a foot of snow melts in one day...a girl has hope! I hope that you enjoyed your weekend. I spent yesterday with some stamping friends, and then I worked on this card last night. Today was just sunny enough for me to get a fairly good photograph of it. I used this past Wednesday's sketch from the My Favorite Things Wednesday Stamp Club. If you would like to play along as well, you can find all of the details and the sketch here. I received this wonderful My Mind's Eye paper in the mail yesterday. It is from the Stella and Rose collection. LOVE it! My little sweetie is from the Pure Innocence Out On a Limb set from My Favorite Things. She is colored up with Copic Markers (E000, E00, E11, E25, E29, and R20) and her dress is paper pieced with some more of the Stella and Rose papers. My card stock layers are Stampin' Up's So Saffron and Basic Black. The ovals were made with my Nesties. Some zig zap stitching, a bit of Stampin' Up Black Grosgrain Ribbon and a Papertrey Ink Button finish off this card. Thank you for stopping by tonight. Have a wonderful start to the week...Toodles! :D

Have A Blooming Good Day!

Happy Friday Friends! I'm looking forward to the weekend! Tomorrow, I'll be stamping with friends and that's always a good thing! I hope that you have something fun and crafty to do! Today's card is for this week's Blogger's Challenge (use the colors green, peach, and white) and for Forgotten Stamp Friday. To play along with either one of these challenges, just click on the colored words above. My "Forgotten Stamp" for this week is this sweet bunny from High Hopes Rubber Stamps. I've had him for quite awhile, and this is the first time that he has ever seen ink! He is colored up with Copic Markers (BG000, C1, R20, YG63, YG67, YR00, and YR12) and then cut out and popped up on a circle of A*Muse Gingham card stock. The green patterned paper is from a retired pack by Stampin' Up. That panel is sewn onto a piece of Pumpkin Pie card stock. To bring some green over to the right half of my card, I added a button with some craft thread to the top and I stamped my sentiment (from the MFT Blooming Good Day set) in Old Olive ink on the bottom corner. It's been quite a busy week, so I kept this one very clean and simple. Thanks so much for stopping by today. I'm hoping to finish up my card for the My Favorite Things Wednesday Stamp Club Sketch tonight, so I'll be back some time tomorrow. Until then...Toodles! :D
