New Stamps!!!

Well...isn't she just the cutest!!! I came across the Stampavie stamp company a week or so ago. My friend Becky posted a card on her blog not too long ago with an image from this company, and I fell in love. The stamp series is called Lily & Milo and the stamps are illustrated by Rachelle Anne Miller. This particular stamp is called My Little Friend and I ordered mine (and another one) from The Stamping Cottage.

Lily is stamped with Brilliance Ink and then colored up with watercolor pencils. I am simply loving my new package of Summer Picnic Designer Paper from Stampin' Up! The colors from the paper are some of my favorites to work with...Stampin' Up's Certainly Celery, Bashful Blue, and Real Red. This sentiment from A Muse seemed to go perfectly with this image, so I just had to use it to the card. I also added some of A Muse's stitched ribbon. Lately, I can't seem to make a card without adding a button...lol! So I went through my stash and found this one from Doodlebug Designs.

Hope you are having a wonderful Saturday! Thanks so much for stopping by...Toodles!!! :D

Blogger's Challenge Friday!!

Good Morning everyone! I'm really ready for this upcoming weekend. The only thing on the agenda is one T-Ball game and then we are free to do whatever we want to!!! I'm hoping to stamp the weekend away! Wouldn't it be wonderful if I could actually get the end of the school year gifts for all of the teachers made? I'd be thrilled to pieces!

Well, enough of my rambling...lol! Here is my card for this week's Blogger's Challenge. This little guy popped right into my head once I knew this week's theme was animals. Elbert, (my little name for him) from Stampin' Up's Happy Heart Day set, is colored up with watercolor pencils. I also used Stampin' Up's Pumpkin Pie, Pixie Pink, and their retired Dots and Dashes Designer Paper. The Making Memories swirl has a snip-it of May Arts ribbon tied to it and the buttons are from American Crafts. I added a little bit of faux stitching and some Star Dust Stickles on the hearts for some extra sparkle.

If you'd like to check out some other wonderful creations with animals, please click on my Blogger's Challenge link (right sidebar) to see what the other ladies in the group came up with. I wish you all a very happy weekend! Thank you so much for stopping by...Toodles!!! :D

Three Cheers for the Red, White, and Blue!!!

Happy Friday to you all! This card is for this week's Blogger's Challenge...use Red, White, and Blue. I started off with this new image from Stampendous...Biker Bee. He's so cute with his little flag in hand! He's colored up with watercolor pencils and layered onto Bashful Blue and Real Red cardstock from Stampin' Up! I also used Stampin' Up's Riveting (retired) for the sentiment and their Scalloped Circle Punch. The gingham check paper is from Making Memories. I added some A Muse Stitched Ribbon in Red, some paper piercing, and my favorite Star Dust Stickles for a few extra details.

I'm off to check out what the other ladies in the group came up with. If you'd like to do the same, just click on the Blogger's Challenge logo on the right hand side of my blog. I wish you all a beautiful day and a Happy Memorial Day weekend. Thanks so much for stopping by...Toodles!

Happy Friday!

Another Friday brings about another wonderful Blogger's Challenge! This week's challenge is to create a card using the layout of the puppy card on Page 21 of the Stampin' Up Occassions Mini.

I have always loved the Stampin' Up set Living Large (retired) and thought that it would work well with this sketch. I added the sentiment from one of the stamps from the Happy Hellos set (retired) as well. The color scheme was actually inspired by Stampin' Up's Afternoon Tea Designer Paper. I just received a pack from my demonstrator. It's so beautiful! I didn't use any of the paper on this card because I was afraid to cut into it just yet...LOL! At least I used the colors (Groovy Guava, Soft Sky, Wild Wasabi, and Chocolate Chip)! That has to count for something...right? The Groovy Guava card base has the Stampin' Up Paisley background stamped onto it. (Not very sunny here today, so I can't seem to get the photograph just right. Please click on it for a better view.) I added some scallops to the Chocolate Chip layer with my Stampin' Up Corner Rounder (without the guard), some Chocolate Chip grosgrain ribbon, Star Dust Stickles for sparkle, and a button that matched the Wild Wasabi perfectly.

I hope you have a chance to check out the other challenge cards. You can find the links to their blogs by clicking on the Blogger's Challenge logo on the right side of my blog. Thanks so much for stopping by...Toodles! :D

It's the little things...

I thought that I head over to Splitcoaststampers today and check out the sketch challenge. It is really a great way for me to get inspired. Here are the results.

This is another image from the latest Stampendous release. Hot dogs are a huge hit in this house so I couldn't resist this little guy! I found this piece of Paper Salon designer paper in my ever growing paper collection and thought that it would be a good color scheme to go with my little hot dog bee. The main colors were pulled right from the sheet...Stampin' Up's Apricot Appeal and Tempting Turquoise. I ran the Apricot through my 'Bug with my Swiss Dots embossing folder. The Apricot circles are from the 1/2" Stampin' Up Circle Punch and I added some Making Memories turquoise brads. The ovals are also made from Stampin' Up punches. This sentiment is one that I've recently acquired from A Muse. The top corner needed a little something, so I added a Making Memories clip with a touch of turquoise gingham. Star Dust and Fruit Punch Stickles were added for some sparkle.

This will make a perfect card for any one of my hot dog lovers...lol! Thanks so much for stopping by...Toodles! :D

Sending You Sunshine

I've done a little bit of shopping again...lol! This sweet image is part of the new release from Stampendous. I ordered him and a couple others from Eclectic Paperie. Watermelon Bee just looks so happy sitting there with fork in hand, ready to dig into that yummy slice of summer goodness!

I was inspired to try this watermelon shaped card from the image. It was so much fun to put the whole thing together! I found this piece of Stampin' Up's Positively Pink (retired) card stock in the bottom of the drawer and paired it up with Basic Black and Green Galore. My button collection seems to be coming in quite handy lately. These are from American Crafts with some May Arts checkered ribbon tied into the larger one and a tiny strip of Positively Pink in the two smaller ones. I added some faux stitching to the black layer and I used my Stampin' Up Corner Rounder (without the guard) to make the scallops on the card base. I finished it off with one of my favorite A Muse sentiments.

Here's a card that I think would bring some sunshine to anyone's day! So glad that you could stop by...Toodles! :D

Mother's Day Blogger's Challenge!

This week's Blogger's Challenge theme is Mother's Day. I've tried to incorporate all of my Mom's favorite things into this card...tulips (Stampin' Up's retired Terrific Tulips), the color green (Stampin' Up's Certainly Celery), paisley (my new Cuttlebug embossing folder), and things that sparkle (Dazzling Diamond Dust Technique)! I had to throw in a few of my favorites as well...lol! That is where all of the pink comes in! The card base is Stampin' Up's Pretty in Pink and I used Color Box Chalk Ink in Rouge. I added some Making Memories pink brads and decided that they needed some sparkle too, so I added some Star Dust Stickles to them. This lovely sentiment is from Inkadinkadoo. I hope that my Mom enjoys this card! The photograph isn't the best, but it's already dark here. I'm posting this now because I've been called in to substitute tomorrow (First Grade yippee!). Have a Happy Friday everyone! Thanks so much for stopping by...Toodles! :D

Happy Teacher Appreciation Day!

I hope that all of my teacher friends out there today have a SPLENDIFEROUS day! It's Teacher Appreciation Day and I made this card for a special teacher at the school where I substitute. This is another wonderful image from High Hopes Rubber Stamps and the sentiment is from A Muse Art Stamps. The color combination (Stampin' Up's Pumpkin Pie, Bashful Blue, and Old Olive) was inspired by this sheet of Scenic Route designer paper that I found in my stash. I used a round button from American Crafts with a touch of A Muse's stitched ribbon to balance my design, along with some faux stitching on the Old Olive layers. I'm so glad that you could stop by today...Toodles! :D

Blogger's Challenge!!!

Here it is...another Friday! Another Friday brings about another Blogger's Challenge. This week's challenge theme was Graduation, and what a challenge for me...I don't have any graduation stamps!!! I did find this saying in Stampin' Up's retired Happy Harmony set and I paired it with some stamps from Stampin' Up's Priceless set. I think that this would work well for someone who is graduating...don't you?

Along with this mix of stamps, I used Stampin' Up's Whisper White, Chocolate Chip, and Cool Caribbean card stock. I just love the way that VersaMagic's Sea Breeze matches Cool Caribbean and I also used Brilliance's Moonlight White ink. I finished the card off with some American Crafts ribbon, a bit of paper piercing, and my favorite Star Dust Stickles.

I apologize for the lack of posts lately. I have been sick for the past two weeks and I can't seem to get rid of whatever it is I have. At this point, I am on antibiotics. I'm hoping they kick in soon! So thanks for hanging in there with me. I'm so glad that you could stop by today. Please check out the other member's of the Blogger's Challenge group. The link is on the right side of my blog. Have a Happy Friday...Toodles!!! :D
