Have A Blooming Good Day!

Happy Friday Friends! I'm looking forward to the weekend! Tomorrow, I'll be stamping with friends and that's always a good thing! I hope that you have something fun and crafty to do! Today's card is for this week's Blogger's Challenge (use the colors green, peach, and white) and for Forgotten Stamp Friday. To play along with either one of these challenges, just click on the colored words above. My "Forgotten Stamp" for this week is this sweet bunny from High Hopes Rubber Stamps. I've had him for quite awhile, and this is the first time that he has ever seen ink! He is colored up with Copic Markers (BG000, C1, R20, YG63, YG67, YR00, and YR12) and then cut out and popped up on a circle of A*Muse Gingham card stock. The green patterned paper is from a retired pack by Stampin' Up. That panel is sewn onto a piece of Pumpkin Pie card stock. To bring some green over to the right half of my card, I added a button with some craft thread to the top and I stamped my sentiment (from the MFT Blooming Good Day set) in Old Olive ink on the bottom corner. It's been quite a busy week, so I kept this one very clean and simple. Thanks so much for stopping by today. I'm hoping to finish up my card for the My Favorite Things Wednesday Stamp Club Sketch tonight, so I'll be back some time tomorrow. Until then...Toodles! :D

Hello There!

I'm going to start this post by saying that I'm not in love with this card, but it's growing on me the longer I look at it...lol! It has been forever and a day since I've used this set (Stampin' Up's Cheep Talk). While I love these stamps, I just couldn't seem to get it all to turn out the way that I planned it in my head. I made this for my two favorite Friday challenges. This week's Blogger's Challenge is a sketch. You can find all of the details here and you can play along too if you'd like. Just remember to add your link over on Lisa's blog. My other favorite Friday challenge is Jessie's Forgotten Stamp Friday. Jessie challenges you to to make a card or project using a stamp that hasn't been used or has been owned and NOT used for at least six months. This set works perfectly because I haven't used it for over a year!!

Here are all of the details about my card. The base and the Die-namics Little Open Scallop Strip from My Favorite Things is made from Stampin' Up's Pumpkin Pie. The flowery patterned paper is from October Afternoon and the orange gingham is from A*Muse. The ribbon is from Martha Stewart. I added a Doodlebug Designs button with a little piece of Baker's Twine to the bow. The main image panel is colored with various Stampin' Up markers (Chocolate Chip, Old Olive, Certainly Celery, Bashful Blue, and Pumpkin Pie) and then I added a few Making Memories brads.

That's about it for this card. Thanks so much for stopping by today. I'll be back again soon! Until then...Toodles! :D

Being Cute Is What I Do

Happy Monday Stampers! How many of you had to head off to work today? I was fortunate enough to have today off from school thanks to good 'ole Christopher Columbus! I put my little bit of extra time to good use and created a card to share. Last week, I wanted to participate in the My Favorite Things Guest Designer Challenge, but unfortunately that did not happen. Jen and Susan's challenge was to use Raspberry, Lime Green, and Aqua. I love these colors together so I decided to combine them with this past Wednesday's Stamp Club Sketch. You can find all of the details about the MFT Wednesday Stamp Club here. You still have time to play too!
As you can see, I gave the sketch a little turn! The card base and the scalloped rectangle from my Nesties are Stampin' Up's Regal Rose. I sewed the My Mind's Eye layer to some Coredinations Lime Green. The gingham squares are from A*Muse and they are layered onto some SU Cool Caribbean. The Caribbean colored grosgrain ribbon is from American Crafts. The star of this creation is a Pure Innocence sweetie from My Favorite Things. The set is called, "Being Cute Is What I Do." She is colored up with my Copic Markers (BG000, BG45, C1, E000, E11, E21, E25, E27, R20, and R85.) I paper pieced her little shirt with some of the A*Muse gingham paper. So fun!

Thanks so much for stopping by tonight! Have a terrific Tuesday...Toodles! :D
