You Make Me Smile

Hello Friends and Happy Tuesday!  I hope that you had a wonderful weekend.  I have another creation to share with you for this month's TCP Tuesday Challenge - Everything Old Is New Again.  There are only a few days left to play along.  I hope that you can join us.  For all of the details and a place to link your creation, just visit Alma's Blog

This time around, I went with using something old in a new way.  See my blossom down there on the corner of my card.  It's not made with a die that one would typically make a flower with, but I was up for the challenge and I wanted to try something new.  I took my TCP Icing CutUps die and a piece of wool felt and I ran them through my Cuttlebug.  Then I simply rolled my woolen die cut piece with a pair of tweezers to form a blossom and I held it all together with a sticky dot.  I added a few pearls to the center to dress it up, and there you go...you have yourself something new, made with something old.  For those polka dotted leaves, I used the egg shape from the TCP Eggs in a Basket CutUps die.

All of the patterned papers are from the Family Ties collection from Pebbles.  The sentiment is from the TCP Bloom set.  I just loved last week's Mojo Monday Sketch and I didn't have a chance to play along, so I decided to give it a try for today's creation.  Some zigzag stitching completes my card.

Thank you so much for stopping by to visit with me today.  Enjoy your day!  Until next time...Toodles!  :D

You've Got Mail

Hello Friends!  Hope that you are well.  No, you are not looking at the same post as yesterday.  I made two separate cards...honest!  The papers were already cut and I had made a few extra die cuts with the scraps, so I decided to use them all over again.  I even used a similar layout.

This time around, I used the My Favorite Things Pure Innocence You've Got Mail set.  The images are colored up with Copic Markers (BG01, BG05, C3, C5, E000, E00, E01, E23, E27, R00,R29, YG63, YG67) and then I fussy cut them out.  I paper pieced a tiny bit of the polka dotted paper onto her pockets.  The patterned papers are from Jillibean Soup and My Mind's Eye.  The blossom is made with the MFT Pretty Posies Die-namics.  I added a button from my stash and some craft twine.  I also used the MFT Little Open Scallop Strip Die-namics and the Fishtail Flag Die-namics.  Before I glued up all of my layers, I added a little bit of machine stitching.

I made this card for the Splitcoaststampers Love Fest.  This particular card is for the My Favorite Things Challenge - Make My Day.  The Ladies over at MFT are challenging you to make an encouraging card for the person of your choice.  It will be a challenge for me to make sure that this gets to the post office and mailed out...lol!  Maybe it will end up in your mailbox!  You never know.

Thank you so much for visiting with me.  Enjoy the rest of the weekend!  Until next time...Toodles!  :D

You Are Pretty Amazing

Happy Friday Friends!  Here comes the weekend!  Are you ready for it?  I know that in the New England area, we are getting more of fluffy stuff.  I see some sledding in my near future!

Even though we are still in winter, I am turning my creative thoughts to spring.  I picked up these fun Jillibean Soup papers in last weekend's snow storm (I am a New England girl with all wheel drive, so when I want some new papers, whether it is snowing or not...I'm getting some new papers...lol!)

I used the latest sketch from the My Favorite Things Wednesday Stamp Club for my starting off point.  Then I grabbed a sentiment from the MFT Complimentary Greetings set, and I got to work.  After digging through my MFT Die-namics collection, I decided to go with the Little Open Scallop Strip die, the Layered Label dies, and their Pretty Posies dies.  A little bit of craft twine and a button from my stash finishes off this card.

I'm meeting some friends for stamping tonight.  I hope that you enjoy your evening!  If all goes well, I'll be back later on this weekend with something else to share.    Thank you for visiting with me today.  Until next time...Toodles!  :D

Splitcoaststampers Love Fest!!!

Happy Tuesday, Friends!  Have you heard about the Love Fest over on Splitcoaststampers?  Well, until February 24th, a different challenge from the Member Companies will be posted each day.  For more details to play along, just click here.  Oh, and there will be prizes too!!  It's a win, win...you get to put your stamps to work and you get the chance to win a little something!  What's not to love?

Today's challenge is sponsored by The Cat's Pajamas.  The challenge for today is this lovely inspiration piece.  Really puts one is a springtime mood, doesn't it?  All of that yellow makes me happy, too!

I started off by picking out my papers.  They are all from My Mind's Eye.  I knew that I wanted to use this sweet bunny stamp from the TCP Bloom set because it hadn't seen any ink yet!  My bunny friend is colored up with Copic Markers (BG000, BG01, R20, R22, W0, W1, W3, Y11, Y21, and 100 on the pearls) and then I fussy cut him out.  The sentiment is from the same set.  I used Karen Giron's Sweet Sunday Sketch for my layout.  The circle and the scalloped circle were made with Nestabilities, and I added some Copic colored pearls to the corners.

I hope that you will have the chance to play along with us!  Here is the link for The Cat's Pajamas challenge!  Thanks so much for visiting with me today!  Until next time...Toodles!  :D

Hearts, Hearts, and More Hearts!

Hello, Friends!  Hope that you are well.  I have a couple of things to share with you today.  This month's challenge from The Cat's Pajamas is called, "Everything Old is New Again!"  Alma's challenge is to use TCP stamps and/or CutUps dies to create something new and different.  You can find more details about the challenge and a place to link your creation over on Alma's blog.  (Click HERE.)

I have always loved the beautiful, handmade banners that I see on the computer.  They look so pretty hanging from fireplace mantles.  I love my home, but I wish we had a fireplace.  I wanted to make a banner to celebrate Valentine's Day, but I didn't really have a place to hang it or the right kind of dies to create one with.  So I had to get a little bit creative.  Using the TCP Heart Trio CutUps, I decided to make a banner and decorate my Stamping Room with it.

Here is a closer look.  I started off  by running scraps of red card stock and the heart die through my Cuttlebug.  The larger heart and the smaller heart are attached to the Peppermint Divine Twine with glue dots.

Here is a better shot.  It is very clean and simple, but I think that it works well in my small space.

Now, I just couldn't let the medium sized hearts that were left over go to waste!  So, here is a card using them up.

I glued the left over medium sized hearts to a red card stock panel to create an embossed look for the background.  My sweet bear from the TCP Bear Hugs set is colored up with Copic Markers (E30, E31, E33, E34, E35, and R00) and his heart is paper pieced.  The sentiment is from the TCP Gimme Some Sugar set.  I added some Dove Seam Binding, a button from my stash, and some Cherry Divine Twine.

I hope that you will be able to take some time and play along with the TCP Tuesday Challenge.  Remember, you have the whole month to join us and we can't wait to see what you come up with.  Thanks so much for visiting with me!  Have a Happy Tuesday!  Until next time...Toodles!  :D

My Favorite Things Sketch!

Happy Monday, Friends!  School was canceled this morning because of a small ice storm.  I took advantage of the time off and tackled the sketch from the My Favorite Things Wednesday Stamp Club again.  I thought that this particular sketch was perfect to showcase a sentiment.  While I would rather make cards for a happier occasion, I am in need of a couple sympathy cards, so that is the route I took this time around.

I love the pretty colors in these papers.  I found them in a markdown bin at Michaels after Christmastime.  If I am not mistaken, the package cost a whopping two cents!!!  The sentiment is from the MFT More Essential Sentiments set and it is stamped onto a scrap of My Mind's Eye paper.  It is layered onto a die cut made with the MFT Oval Open Scallop Doily Die-namics.   I also used Rich Cocoa ink and Chocolate card stock.  Some machine stitching finishes off the two vertical panels.

Thanks for stopping by for a visit.  I will be back tomorrow with a couple creations for this month's TCP Tuesday Challenge.  See you then...Toodles!  :D

Sending Love and Hugs

Hello Friends!  The blizzard for this part of New England is over (for the most part) and it has left over two feet of snow in the yard!!  Thankfully, the power stayed on and everyone here is safe and warm.  I hope the same for you and yours if you happen to be in the area.

I took advantage of being snowed in and got some stamping done.  This image and sentiment is from the new Doodle Garden collection from My Favorite Things.  She is colored up with Copic Markers (C1, E000, E00, E01, E31, E33, E34, E35, R00, R27, R29, R59, and the Colorless Blender) and I paper pieced her dress and her headband.  Then I fussy cut her out to better fit this week's sketch from the My Favorite Things Wednesday Stamp Club.  You can find all of the details to play along right here.  All of the patterned papers are from My Mind's Eye.  The Hearts A Plenty heart and the Oval Open Scallop Doily oval were made with MFT Die-namics.  The other accents include a gray button and some double looped craft twine.

Thank you so much for stopping by for a visit.  I will be back on Tuesday with something for this month's TCP Tuesday Challenge.  Enjoy your weekend....Toodles!  :D

Everything Old is New Again!

Happy Tuesday Friends!  My last post told you about my big news, but today I have some big news for YOU!!!  TCP Tuesdays are back!  Alma is changing things up a little bit and she has lot of details and inspiration over on her blog.  The link is HERE.

This time around, the challenge is for you to bring out your existing TCP stamps and dies and use them in a new and creative way. If you've only used TCP stamps and dies for cards, Alma is challenging you to use them in a scrapbook page, on a home decor project, to decorate a gift. Whatever. TCP dies, while they cut paper, can also cut fabric, thin sheets of wood, and acetate. The cut piece can be rolled or sewn or made into a three-dimensional project. And if there is a TCP stamp set or die that has been challenging you so much that you haven't used it, Alma is challenging you to pull it out and use it! Think outside of the box!

And now, the TCP Tuesday Challenge is a month long challenge!  On the first Tuesday of each month, a new challenge will be posted.  So join Alma and The Cat Pack and bring out some of your old stamps and supplies and turn them into something new.  You can post your cards and projects over on Alma's blog.  She has a special spot on the top, right side of her blog for you to link up to.

You may want to head over to The Cat's Pajama's site because to kick off the new TCP Tuesday challenge format, Alma is doing something quite special for YOU!  Take a peek!

Go forth and shop, Friends!  Thanks so much for stopping by!  Until next time...Toodles!  :D

I've Got some BIG NEWS...The Sky is the Limit!!!

Hello Friends!  How are you and Happy Weekend!  Can you guess my BIG NEWS?  Check out the new watermark on my card!  Ack...I'm over the moon excited about this!!!  I have been asked to be part of The Cat's Pajamas Design Team aka...The Cat Pack!  I simply adore creating with Alma's stamps so I know that I'm going to have a ball being a part of The Cat Pack and what an honor to work with such an amazing group of Ladies.

I decided to pull out this sweet TCP set to celebrate my big news.  The name of the set is Away We Go.  I colored up my image with Copic Markers (B000, B0000, BG72, BG75, E01, E11, E13, E15, R20, R22, and Y26) and then I fussy cut it out.  The hot air balloon is paper pieced with papers from the Oliver collection from My Mind's Eye.  In fact, all of the patterned papers for this card are from that collection.  My accents were made with the TCP Flower Button CutUps and the TCP Cloud Border CutUps.  I added a kraft colored button and some craft thread to the flower button and the clouds were made with some wool felt.  The circle and the open scallop circle were made with Nestabilities dies.

Thanks so much for visiting with me today.  It should be a quiet weekend around the house so I am planning on doing some much needed stamping.  Hopefully, I'll be back soon.  Until next time...Toodles!  :D
