This week's Blogger's Challenge is celebrating Mother's Day. I thought that I'd try my hand at one of those beautiful flower pot cards that have been popping up lately in the paper crafting world. I found the directions here through Splitcoaststampers (TLC215). They really are a lot of fun to make! I don't have any blossom punches or dies, so I used the flowers from the retired Stampin' Up set, You Make Me Happy. To give my project a little bit of dimension, I stamped the blossom twice in each colored ink (So Saffron, Lavender Lace, Cool Caribbean) and then cut them out and layered them onto each other. The little leaves and ribbon are Certainly Celery. Then I stamped the sentiment and attached it with a little piece of silver cording. I added some Star Dust Stickles for some sparkle. The whole thing came together quite quickly and easily.I'm off to see what the other Ladies from the Blogger's Challenge group have come up with. You can find their blog links in my right side bar.
