My little buddies are inked up in Black Stazon and then colored with a combination of markers and watercolored pencils. Blogger's Challenge - Labor Day!!

Happy Friday Everyone! Sorry this is late, but this post has certainly been a labor of love...lol! I have had such a difficult time posting today. I'm not sure what it is, but I do hope that this works!! This week's Blogger's Challenge theme is Labor Day...a patriotic card or a baby card. As you can see, I went with the baby theme. The main image is a Studio G stamp and the sentiment is from Stampin' Up Small Sayings (retired). I also used Stampin' Up's Regal Rose, Rose Red, Certainly Celery, and So Saffron cardstock along with some Stampin' Up Rose Grosgrain Ribbon. A simple design, but one of my favorites. In fact, I made this card some time ago, but never shared it here on my blog. I made a different card for today's challenge, but I sent it to a friend and the photographs that I took before I sent it out did not turn out well at all. Fortunately, I had this card in my stash and fit this week's theme, so I was quite lucky! Be sure to see what the other members of the Blogger's Challenge group came up with here.

Now if you checked in today for some more Storage Units, Ink and More Sneak Peeks then you need to head on over to Leigh's blog. I promise...You won't be disappointed! You still have time to make a guess for Denise's giveaway, so be sure to stop by the SU Ink & More Blog. Thanks so much for stopping by tonight! I'll be back tomorrow...Toodles!!! :D

A Trifecta of Challenges!!!

Happy Friday Everyone! I have always envied the stampers that can put a few different challenges together to create one card, and now I've finally been able to do this myself! Little things make me so happy...lol! Here's the rundown...On Tuesday, the challenge from A Spoonfull of Sugar was this wonderful sketch. Then on Wednesday, Denise over at Storage Units, Ink & More issued the challenge to make one of your cards sparkle. Here is another card for that challenge. Remember, you can still play the Whachadoin' Wednesday Challenges even if you don't use SU Ink stamps. Today is Friday, and you know what that means...Blogger's Challenge!! Our challenge this week is to use Stampin' Up's Chocolate Chip, Old Olive, More Mustard, and Ruby Red. I used my watercolor crayons in these colors to color up my sweet monkey friend from Stampendous. I curved the sentiment that came with this Stampendous set to fit just above Monkey. The birthday sentiment in white craft ink is from Stampin' Up's Small Sayings (retired). The Ruby Red panel was put through my 'bug with the Swiss Dots Embossing Folder and the More Mustard panel is stamped with a stamp that I picked up at the Target Dollar Spot. I added some Star Dust Stickles to Monkey's birthday cake, a bit of faux stitching, and a button with some May Arts Sheer Polka Dot ribbon. There you have it...my first time combining three challenges for one card! You can click on any of the links above to be inspired by these wonderful challenges. I hope that you'll be able to play along too! Thanks so much for stopping by today...Toodles!!! :D

Tracy's Sketch Challenge

My sweet friend Tracy started doing challenges over on her blog, Eat, Sleep, Stamp! Just click on her blog's name for the details and then you can play along too if you'd like.

Last Thursday's Challenge was this delightful sketch! It has been forever and a day since I've inked up my beloved A Muse stamps, so needless to say, I really enjoyed this challenge! The image, sentiment, stitched ribbon, and 4-Bar Notecard are all from A Muse. I used some chocolate colored cardstock and a strip of Rich Amber cardstock from Core'dinations (Don't forget the Core'dinations sale over at Storage Units, Ink and More) to accent the green notecard. I made the sun with a tiny circle stamp that I've had in my stash since I first started stamping. It has finally been put to good use. I inked it up with Colorbox Chalk ink in Bisque and then added a touch of Tangerine to the edges.

This card turned out exactly how I envisioned it. That doesn't happen too often...lol! Thanks so much for stopping by...Toodles!!! :D

A Day Late And A Dollar Short...

Let's make that four days late...lol! I hope that this is better late, than never. Right? Denise, over at Storage Units, Ink and More thought that it would be fun to have a new challenge to participate in. These weekly challenges are called, "Whatchadoin' Wednesday" challenges. You can check out the first one over on the SUINK blog and be sure to go and check out the second challenge on this upcoming Wednesday. Please come and play along with us! You can leave us a link to your creation on the official Storage Units, Ink and More blog.

Here is my card for this past Wednesday's challenge...Embossing Folders! I used my Floral Fantasy Embossing Folder in my 'Bug on a sheet of Mantis cardstock from Core'dinations. I paired up my little Snail Mail snail from the Storage Units, Ink and More set called At a Snail's Pace with some lovely shades of pink cardstock (Amaryllis and In the Pink from Core'dinations). Add a little tearing, a bit of piercing, some Making Memories brads, and a touch of silver cording, and I have a card in my stash that I can use for just about any occasion! Thank you so much for stopping by tonight...Toodles!!! :D

Blogger's Challenge Friday!

Thank goodness it's Friday! What a crazy and exhausting week it has been for me! I'm glad that I could finally have a chance to stamp today for this week's Blogger's Challenge (a birthday card). It has been awhile, but I've made a card with only Stampin' Up products...can ya believe it...lol! I started with my little bird friend from the Pun Fun set. I inked him up with Black Stazon and stamped him onto watercolor paper. He's colored up with Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie, and Not Quite Navy inks. I did a little piercing around the image too. The Old Olive panel is embossed with my Swiss Dots embossing folder in my 'Bug. I then added some Pumpkin Pie grosgrain ribbon and I used some designer paper from the Summer Picnic pack. I need a birthday card for a little family friend of ours so hopefully he will like this one. Many of the ladies in the challenge group were able to play today as well, so when you have a chance, be sure to check out what they've done here. Thanks so much for stopping by today...Toodles!!! :D

Lots to Share!!!

This week's Blogger's Challenge is called "Same, but Different". Basically, we are to make two cards using the same layout, but different colors and different stamps. My first card uses the newly released set, Look What I Caught from Storage Units, Ink and More. Here is this sweet little guy relaxing in his boat waiting for the catch of the day. I used some Stampin' Up Pumpkin Pie for the card base along with some So Saffron Paper Prints designer paper. The other cardstock colors are Meadow and Blue Lightening from Core'dinations.

The next card is made using another August Release from Storage Units, Ink and More. The set is called, "At a Snails Pace". Sweet Miss Daisy has designed a stamp for Whipper Snapper with a little snail carrying a flower pot. I tried to accomplish the same look here with these two stamps. This card also uses some Paper Prints designer paper in Rose Red. I also added some Honey, Tranquil Blue, and Grassroots from Core'dinations. This little scene was colored up with coordinating inks and a bit of Star Dust Stickles were added for some sparkle. I'm off to check out what the others in the Blogger's Challenge group came up with. Also, if you are interested, I have some Blog Candy up for grabs in this past Wednesday's post. I'll pick a winner tomorrow. Susan Liles also has a newly released set to give away over on her blog, Susie Stamp-A-Lot. Be sure to check that out as well. Thanks so much for stopping by today, I'll be back tomorrow with a Blog Candy Winner...Toodles!!! :D

Back to School!

Can you believe that the start of school is just around the corner? Here, it is in less than three weeks!!! Where did the summer go? I have another Storage Units, Ink and More card to share with you today. These images are from the Touch of Class set and I paired them up with Core'dinations Cardstock in Blue Lightening, Rasberry, and Meadow. It is a simple card, but one that I thought would be a appropriate for a little boy. There is still time if you'd like a chance to win this set. Just scroll down to my post from yesterday. I'll be picking a winner on Saturday. Debbie and Kathie also have a give-away over on their blogs. Just click on their names for the link. Have a Happy Thursday! Thanks so much for stopping by...Toodles!!! :D

My Turn for Blog Candy!!!

Good Wednesday Morning! Yippee! Today is the day that I get to share some Blog Candy with you! The set that I chose to share with you is called A Touch of Class from Storage Units, Ink and More! Being a teacher, you may have guessed that I have always loved going to school, so this was the perfect set for me! Would you like a chance to win this set? Just leave me a comment on this post and let me know if you enjoyed going to school or not. I'll pick a winner on Saturday afternoon. Best of luck to you!

Here are a few details about the card. The card base is Core'dinations Raspberry. I also added a layer of Core'dinations Tranquil Blue with a touch of plaid designer paper from Scenic Route. The wide red grosgrain is from Stampin' Up and the button is from Doodlebug Designs. I colored up my little school girl with watercolor pencils and markers. I took advantage of the fact that this is a clear stamp set, so I was able to bend the sentiment into a curve to fit nicely just above the little girl.

If you feel that Lady Luck is with you today, then be sure to head over to Leigh's blog, Sunflower Studio. She has a stamp set up for grabs as well. Hope that you all have a wonderful day! Thanks so much for stopping by...Toodles!!! :D

Blogger's Challenge Friday...ummm, Make That Saturday!

First off, I apologize for not posting my Blogger's Challenge card yesterday. Like many other bloggers from the challenge group, I was having difficulties signing into my blog yesterday. Things appear to be back to normal today, so here goes. This week's challenge is to use Stampin' Up's So Saffron, Rose Red, Old Olive and Pumpkin Pie. I added Basic Black to the mix as well. My cyber friend Nikki from "across the pond" is part of a wonderful group that holds a weekly challenge too. This card is also for that challenge as well. You can check it out on their blog, A Spoon Full of Sugar. This week, we were to use an animal image from one of the companies on their challenge list. I used this delightful skunk from High Hopes Rubber Stamps. This image is colored with just about every medium possible...watercolor crayons, Stampin' Up Inks, Stampin' Up Markers, and watercolor pencils! I just couldn't make up my mind...lol! I'm off to go and check out what everyone else from these groups has been able to create. Have a happy weekend! Thanks so much for stopping by today...Toodles!!! :D
