My Turn for Blog Candy!!!

Good Wednesday Morning! Yippee! Today is the day that I get to share some Blog Candy with you! The set that I chose to share with you is called A Touch of Class from Storage Units, Ink and More! Being a teacher, you may have guessed that I have always loved going to school, so this was the perfect set for me! Would you like a chance to win this set? Just leave me a comment on this post and let me know if you enjoyed going to school or not. I'll pick a winner on Saturday afternoon. Best of luck to you!

Here are a few details about the card. The card base is Core'dinations Raspberry. I also added a layer of Core'dinations Tranquil Blue with a touch of plaid designer paper from Scenic Route. The wide red grosgrain is from Stampin' Up and the button is from Doodlebug Designs. I colored up my little school girl with watercolor pencils and markers. I took advantage of the fact that this is a clear stamp set, so I was able to bend the sentiment into a curve to fit nicely just above the little girl.

If you feel that Lady Luck is with you today, then be sure to head over to Leigh's blog, Sunflower Studio. She has a stamp set up for grabs as well. Hope that you all have a wonderful day! Thanks so much for stopping by...Toodles!!! :D

Hi Kimberly,
I LOVED school! I enjoyed learning, the majority of my teachers and especially spending time with all my friends. Graduation for me, was bittersweet. It was a great accomplishment but I was sad to say goodbye to my friends, teachers and all the good times at school!
Now that my youngest child of six is five, I am pursuing a degree in Early Childhood Education and I am enjoying every minute of it!
Thanks for the opportunity to win some yummy blog candy!

I love your card, she is so adorable. I am one of those people who loved going to school. I could not wait for August to come around so I could by new school supplies. I guess that is why I became a teacher. The thrill of opening new crayon and pencil boxes and getting to meet your teacher for the first time.
Thanks!!

Cute cute card! Going to school was ok, plus meet some good friends that we still keep in touch. This set would be awesome to win. In my neighborhood there are 4 teachers and a principal, so this set would get plenty of love and ink. Thanks for a chance.

Good morning Kimberly!
This card is beautiful, just like all your work.
I loved school and I was always working hard to be the first of my class! I wanted to become a teacher when I was little, but I became a financial analyst. Now I am giving scrapbooking classes... a dream came through!

I loved school and I love this stamp set. I loved school so much that I've decided to be a teacher "when I grow up". LOL! I am working on slowly but surely and hope to be teaching kindergarden by the time my 2yo goes to pre-k. I was considering ordering this set for back to school cards for my daughter, but maybe I'll win it instead. I especially love the desk. It really reminds me of elementary school. Our children know nothing of desk as they are always seated around tables.

Good morning. I liked school. I'm fairly social, ahem to but it mildly, it was a great place to socialize!

Thanks for offering the blog candy. I did enjoy going to school, for the social interaction. I could have lived without algebra and chemistry though. Glad that is over and done with.

I loved going to school-I still love the idea if I could go back :P. I always loved shopping for new supplies, even though we were poorer than most of my classmates (you know free lunch/reduced rates on tuition). I always looked around the local drugstore to buy the most stuff (with plenty of variety) with the small amount of money that I had saved up all summer. Oh and by the way, your card is adorable. She's wearing pants like I used to have..LOL!

I love the card! As far as school, no I did not enjoy school. Remember the song "Seventeen" by Janice Ian. That could have been my theme song. I outgrew it though, and married a great guy and have 3 wonderful children and 3, almost 4 grandchildren.

Your card makes me want to redo elementary school but only if I could be much taller and bigger. I was short and skinny and always last to be picked for a team. College was great tho' and being over 50 is fab!

Hello Kimberly, love your card, cute little girl. I enjoyed school most of the time, met a lot of dear friends at school, and some awesome teachers who encouraged me, would I want to repeat those years, not really, if it had not been for all that I went through during those years I would not be the woman I am today.
thank you for a chance to enter.

School for me wasn't just the learning experience, but also where I made life long friendships. We studied together, talked about boys together...confided our deepest secrets to each other.... and now, in our adult lives, we reflect together...do you remember Miss So and So? Or...remember when so and so did this and the teacher was sssooo mad!!

It's not only the book learning I remember, but now, years later I can still recall those years with friends I still have :~)

Thanks for asking me to remember the things I hold dear even today.

Very cute card Kimberly.
I loved school until life at home fell apart and then I struggled in school which made learning hard. It wasn't until grade 12 that things changes for me and enjoyed school again. I never went on to university due to fear which is one thing I regret now.
I do all and everything I can to give my children all the support and encouragement they need to keep on loving school.

School was ok. I was extremely shy..even through High School. I was so shy that I would take a F on oral speeches. That was ok because I was a straight A student and I could sacrifice it. When I tell people how shy I was no one believes me. It took until I was about 23 to really come out of it. But there are still times I feel it roar it's ugly head.
