Blogger's Challenge Sketch!

Hello Friends! I have today's Blogger's Challenge ready for you. In fact, I've had it ready for you all day, but our computer is acting up. I'm going to keep this short and sweet for tonight because I need to get up bright and early tomorrow for my Copic Certification class with Lori Craig!!! Debbie Olson will be there too!!! I am so excited to go! I can't wait!

This week, our challenge is a sketch from the lovely Lisa Somerville. (Just click on her name. It will take you to her blog. You'll see the original sketch and can play along with us, if you'd like!) The image is from Penny Black and it is colored with Copic Markers (BG000, E000, E00, R20, R81, R83, RV23, RV29, YG93, YG95, YR20, YR21, YR24, V15, V17, and the Colorless Blender.) The papers are from the Lime Twist collection from My Mind's Eye. They are accented with PTI Aqua Mist and Paper Source Beet card stock. I also used my Lacey Circle Nesties and the Small Open Scallop Die-namics from My Favorite Things. To finish off my card, I added an Aqua Mist button with some craft thread.

I'm off to dream land. Have a beautiful weekend and thank you for visiting with me...Toodles! :D

So Nice!

Happy Friday Friends! How was your week? Things are busy here with school winding down, but that is a GREAT kind of busy! This week's Blogger's Challenge is a pet theme. I have always loved hedgehogs and would like one for a pet. One of the teachers at school has one and he's just delightful. So, I thought that this image would be perfect for today's challenge. This little guy is from the Penny Black "Paint the Town" set, and he is colored up with Copic Markers (BG000, BG11, BG13, E000, E33, E35, E50, R22, R24, R30, YG11, YG13, Y26, YR31, and the Colorless Blender). All of the patterned papers are from the Lime Twist collection from My Mind's Eye. I used SU's Chocolate Chip and Papertrey Ink's Aqua Mist card stock for my card stock layers. The scallop border was made with the My Favorite Things Die-namics Double Scallop Border die. I did some stitching around all of my layers before I glued everything down. Would you like to join in this week's Blogger's Challenge? Just add your link below! Thanks so much for visiting with me! Have a wonderful weekend...Toodles! :D

Fragile!

Happy Saturday Friends! Are you enjoying the first part of the weekend? I was happy to see this work week end and I couldn't wait for the weekend to begin! I spent the day with two wonderful friends of mine. We went shopping for crafty things and had lunch together. It was just a FABULOUS Girl's Day Out, and I enjoyed every minute of it!

My card for today is for this week's Blogger's Challenge (Love Theme). Would you like to play along too? We have been using a Blog Hop format for the past few weeks, so if you'd like to join us, just add your link here. I stuck with the love theme and I love Jessie's idea of Forgotten Stamp Friday, so I used this Penny Black stamp (named Fragile!) that hasn't seen ink for a very long time. I am so not a cat lover, but I fell in love with this stamp when I first started stamping and it is definitely not one that I'll ever part with. He's colored up with Copic Markers (C1, C3, E53, R20, R37, R39, and the Colorless Blender). The papers are from the State of the Heart collection from My Mind's Eye and the layout is from Joanne Basile. We made a card with these papers at her last class and I just loved how she put them together, so I decided to just go with the same thing. The sentiment is from the Pure Innocence set Love You With All My Heart from My Favorite Things. I also used the Hearts A Plenty Die-namics die (on the bottom with the PTI button) and the Small Scallop Border Die-namics die (with some MFT felt across the middle of my card). You can find them here.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Enjoy what is left of the weekend! I'll be back soon...Toodles! :D

Happy Easter!

Happy Friday! Sorry that I'm a little late posting. It's a gorgeous day here in New England and I did not have to work today. So instead of being here on the computer, I've been to church, a little bit of shopping, and enjoying the beautiful weather outside! You know I couldn't miss a Blogger's Challenge though...lol!!! So here we go!

Our theme for this week is Easter. My card base is Stampin' Up's Certainly Celery. I also used a layer of retired Cool Caribbean (stamped with SU's retired Dots and Daisies) adhered to a black layer. Then I added a piece of May Arts ribbon and a retired sentiment from Stampin' Up. My image is one of the very first stamps that I ever purchased! It is called Easter Wishes and it is from Penny Black Inc. I colored it up with my Copic markers (BG10, BG11, C1, E51, E31, E33, E35, G24, G40, R20, R81, and R83) to get a little bit more practice in. Then I strategically added some Star Dust Stickles to a few areas.
