A TCP Tuesday Challenge...Just For You!

Happy Tuesday, Friends!  I hope that you had a wonderful weekend.  My boys took me to a John Pizzarelli concert for Mother's Day!  What a delightful evening!  We even had front row seats!!!  I am running a little bit behind on this week's challenge, but here it is...finally!  This week's challenge is called, "Anything Goes".  I continued my love affair with TCP's long eared bunny and made a card that I can use for just about any occasion.

I started with the bunny from the TCP Kick Some Grass set.  I used Copic Markers (BG000, E34, E35, R20, R22, R35, R37, R39, and YG17) for the coloring and the sentiment is from the Bearing Flowers set.  The patterned papers are from the Beautiful Life collection from Echo Park Papers.  I tripled up some Linen Button Twine and added a button from my stash to finish my card.

I hope that you'll have the chance to play along.  Here are all of the details for the TCP Tuesday Challenge...

1. Every other Tuesday a new challenge will be posted on The Cat's Pajamas blog as well as on our Splitcoaststampers forum and our Facebook page.

2. If you want to play along you just upload your design The Cat's Pajamas blog page using the InLinkz button below. If you want to display your pretties on Splitcoaststampers use keyword TCPTUES266. Only the entries uploaded to the Inlinkz button will be considered for Swanky Stamper at the end of the month.

3. You must have your project posted by the Monday, 12 midnight EDT before the next challenge to be eligible to win the Cat Cash.

4. Cards and projects are not required to use a Cat’s Pajamas Stamp or CutUps dies, but if you do, the Cat Cash amount increases.

5. On the following TCP Tuesday, the week's winner will be chosen from the previous challenge and will receive a Cat Cash Voucher for $10.00 or $15 if a TCP product is used.

6. At the end of the month, The Swanky Stamper will be selected from all the weekly entries. The Swanky Stamper will receive some of the stamps from our next release and get to play along with us at our Pajamas Party and Blog Hop. AND… They’ll even get a special spot in the Gallery highlighting the project that won them the gig and a snazzy badge to display on their blog.

7. The Swanky Stamper will be announced the First Monday of the month on Splitcoaststampers, Facebook page and The Cat's Pajamas blog.

Thanks so much for stopping by for a visit.  Until next time...Toodles!  :D

Missing You!

Happy Tuesday, Friends!  I hope that you enjoyed your weekend.  We have less than forty days of school left and things are quite busy.  It has been a wonderful year and time is flying by!  My little First Graders will be heading up to the big elementary school in town and I will not get to see them everyday any more...{insert sad face}!!  I will truly miss this bunch.  They are delightful little learners!  We have a lot fun things planned and some not so fun things (a few standardized tests) before this school year is finished.  For now, I am going to enjoy my time with them and then there will be a whole new bunch to teach when the start of school rolls around again.

You didn't stop by to listen to all of my ramblings about school.  I'm sure you are stopping in for a peek at this week's TCP Tuesday Challenge.  Am I right?  Well, this time around, we have a color challenge for you.  You will have two weeks to play along in this challenge and if the luck of the Irish is with you, you'll have a chance to win some Cat's Cash in The Cat's Pajamas online store.  You could even be Swanky Stamper of the Month and enjoy all of the perks that go along with it.  I hope that you'll be able to take some time and play along.  You can get all of the details over at The Cat's Pajamas blog.  The link is HERE, and here is a peek at the colors for the challenge.

I started off with this sweet image and sentiment from the Hare Today set from The Cat's Pajamas.  My little friend is colored up with Copic Markers (B97, B99, BG000, BG01, E40, E41, E42, R81, R83, and the Colorless Blender).  The Melon color is on my bunny's nose and the patterned paper from the Beautiful Life collection from Echo Park.  I colored up his umbrella to match my Dark Blue background and card base.  I used the Dots CutUps for my background.  The Sky Blue color can be found in the Chevron patterned paper (So Happy collection from Echo Park) and the button with the TCP Linen Button Twine.  Here's a peek at my card.

Thank you so much for visiting with me today.  Until next time...Toodles!  :D

Hello, again!

I do hope that you all remember me!  I know that it has been quite some time.  Life has gotten in the way of my stamping fun lately, but I am back today with a card for this round of TCP Tuesday Challenges.  Just in case you haven't heard, Our TCP Tuesday Challenges are every other Tuesday now.  That means you have two whole weeks to get your challenge done!!  It also gives you the chance to win a little Cat's Cash to spend over at the TCP Website and a chance to be Swanky Stamper of the Month.  Please head over to Alma's Blog for all of the details!  You will also want to check out Alma's newest creation CUTABLES!!  If you have a Silhouette or other cutting machine, you'll LOVE this!

This week's challenge is a wonderful sketch from Nancy.  I love all of the different shapes and layers!  One of my best friends just had a new baby girl (she already has three darling, little boys!!!) and I hope to have the chance to meet her next week.  This card will go along with her gift.  Here's a peek of the sketch.

I started off with our long eared friend from the Bloom set from The Cat's Pajamas.  He is colored up with Copic Markers (BG000, E33, E34, E35, R20, R35, R46, YG17, YR20, YR21, and the Colorless Blender).  The papers are some oldies but goodies from DCWV.  The sentiment is from the And Baby Makes Three set and I added a few crystals to girly it up.  Then I added a few buttons and some Linen Button Twine to finish this one off.  Just right for a new baby girl!

I do hope that you will have the chance to play along with us over at The Cat's Pajamas!  Thanks so much for visiting with me today.  Have a Happy Tuesday!  Until next time...Toodles!  :D

Spring is in the Air

Happy Tuesday, Friends!  I hope that you are well.  We are under a blanket of SNOW in this part of New England.  Since the new year began, we have missed five days of school.  In fact, last Friday, we were going to start school two hours late.  Just as we were about to head out the door, we received a telephone call that the buses would not start and school would be cancelled...ugh!  Everything is so pretty with the snow though.  We went to Old Sturbridge Village on Sunday to walk around and go sledding.  It was so much fun!  A great way to spend a winter's day.  Even though we are as the saying goes, "Spring is in the air" and Kelli Jo is the hostess for this week's TCP Tuesday Challenge called Spring Time.  If you play along and upload your creation over on The Cat's Pajamas Blog, you will have a chance to win $10 in Cat Cash and you will also have a chance to be this month's Swanky Stamper of the Month.  You can find all of the details HERE.

My card is playing double duty today.  Splitcoaststampers is celebrating their Member Companies during their annual Love Fest.  Today is the day to celebrate...THE CAT'S PAJAMAS!!!  Your challenge is to use the photograph above as inspiration to create a project.  It goes perfectly with Kelli's Spring Time challenge too.  This is what I came up with.

I was really inspired by the colors in the photographs and I was able to keep with the birdhouse and springtime theme.  The papers are from Simple Stories (pink) and My Mind's Eye (green stripe).  I used the TCP Apron Border CutUps because the loops reminded me of the intricate iron work on the gate.  I also used the Framed Up CutUps and the Home Tweet Home CutUps.  The tree branch (colored up with Copic Markers E23 and YG 25) is from the TCP The Tweetest Things set and the sentiment is from the Field of Pinwheels set.  I added a teeny piece of Black Licorice Divine Twine to finish this springtime creation off.

Here are all of the details about the SCS LOVE FEST for you.  I hope that you have lots of fun creating!  Good Luck!

THE CAT'S PAJAMAS LOVEFEST CHALLENGE : We have put together 3 photos for you to use as inspiration for your project (see the photo above). You may be inspired by the color palette, the garden theme, the design elements such as the wrought iron gate, the birdhouses, trees, flowers, by the patterns within the birdhouses, etc. It’s all about what you see in the photos! It is not a requirement to use a TCP stamp or die but if you have them we would love to see them.
There is a $25 gift certificate to The Cat’s Pajamas store up for grabs.

You'll have until Monday, March 3rd at noon Central to share your challenge entries. Upload your creations (they don't have to be cards!) to your Member Gallery and use today's keyword to play along.
We can't wait to see what you do!

  UPLOADING INSTRUCTIONS on SCS:
1. All LOVEFEST entries must be uploaded with the specific challenge keyword, no later than March 3, 2014 at 12:00 Noon Central Time to be eligible for our fabulous prizes! Post a link to your entry in this thread.

Happy Tuesday, Friends!  It is time for another TCP Tuesday Challenge and this time around, Lisa is our wonderful hostess!  She is celebrating her birthday this week, so our challenge is to create something that has an image of a present, candle, or cake.  If you play along and upload your creation over on The Cat's Pajamas Blog, you will have a chance to win $10 in Cat Cash and you will also have a chance to be this month's Swanky Stamper of the Month.  You can find all of the details HERE.  Now, here is my card for this week's challenge.

My image and sentiment are from the Bring on the Cake set from The Cat's Pajamas.  A great fit for Lisa challenge.  My long eared friend is colored up with Copic Markers (BG13, C0, C1, C3, R00, R11, R29, R32, R81, R83, R85, Y38 and the Colorless Blender) and then I fussy cut him out.  All of the papers are from the Hazel Collection from My Mind's Eye.  My embellishments include the Buttons CutUps and the Dots CutUps.  To dress up the die cut buttons I used the Linen Button Twine in Ivory from The Cat's Pajamas.

It's TCP Tuesday Time!

Happy Tuesday, Friends!  It is time for another TCP Tuesday Challenge and this time around, I am the hostess!!  Are you ready for your mission?  Here goes...this week's challenge is called 3-2-1.  You need to use 3 different patterned papers, 2 different kinds of embellishments (die cuts, buttons, gems, pearls, brads, etc.), and 1 type of twine, seam binding, or ribbon.  If you play along and upload your creation over on The Cat's Pajamas Blog, you will have a chance to win $10 in Cat Cash and you will also have a chance to be this month's Swanky Stamper of the Month.  You can find all of the details HERE.  Now, here is my card for this week's challenge.

My image and sentiment are from the Sheepish set from The Cat's Pajamas.  My fluffy friend is colored up with Copic Markers (C0, C1, C3, and R00) and then I paper pieced the pockets and scarf and fussy cut him out.  The three different patterned papers are from the Winter Park collection from Echo Park.  My two embellishments are buttons (of course!!) and die cuts.  I used the Buttons CutUps and the Snowflake CutUps.  To dress up the buttons and the sentiment, I used the Linen Button Twine in Ivory from The Cat's Pajamas.

There you have it...the TCP Tuesday 3-2-1 Challenge.  I certainly picked the right set for this challenge.  We are expecting six inches of the fluffy stuff tonight and bitter cold temperatures.  I'm going to need to snuggle up to stay all warm and toasty!  I hope that you will be able to play along.  Thank you so much for visiting with me today.  Until next time...Toodles!  :D

Celebrate...Paper Piecing!!

Happy Tuesday and Happy 2014!!!  We have changed things up a little bit over on The Cat's Pajamas Blog.  Our TCP Tuesday Challenges will now be weekly instead of monthly.  That means that you will want to check in each Tuesday to see what the new challenge for the week is.  Our hostess this week is Jessie and her challenge is Paper Piecing!!  Paper piecing is one of my favorite crafting things. I LOVE the different looks that you can achieve with patterned paper.

My card highlights our long eared bunny.  This one is from the One Cupcake set.  The sentiment is from the same set as well.  I colored up my bunny with Copic Markers (E51, E53, E33, E35, R20, R22, YR30, and YR31).  I paper pieced the cupcake wrapper and then I fussy cut him out.  All of the patterned papers are from the Hootenanny Collection from My Mind's Eye.  I embossed the chocolate circle and I used the oval from the Framed Up CutUps.  Some machine stitching, a button, and some Linen Button Twine complete my card.

I hope that you will have a chance to play along with this week's challenge.  If you do, you may be lucky enough to be chosen as the Swanky Stamper of the Month or you may be lucky enough to win $10 in Cat Cash to go shopping!  Be sure to upload your creation to The Cat's Pajamas Blog.  Good luck!  Thanks so much for visiting with me today.  Until next time...Toodles!  :D

It's TCP Gift Giving Time!

Happy Tuesday, Friends!  It is time for another TCP Tuesday Challenge.  This month's challenge is all about gift giving.  You can find all of the details to play along in the challenge and to have the chance to be the Swanky Stamper of the Month right HERE!

I saw THIS TUTORIAL for a tea bag dispenser over on Splitcoaststampers and I knew I just had to try to make one.  I even know who I will be giving this special gift to.

This sweet teacup and sentiment are from the Toni's Tea Set.  I paper pieced the cup and saucer.  The tea in the cup and the spoon are colored up with Copic Markers (BG000, C1, C3, E13, and E15).  I added a button from my stash and some Ivory Linen Button Twine to the sentiment.

All of the papers are from the Family Ties collection from Pebbles.  The felt accents are made out of the Green With Envy Felt from The Cat's Pajamas and I used the Icing CutUps on the sides of the box and the leaves and the middle part of the flower on the top are from the Flower Buttons CutUps.  Here are a few close up shots so that you can get a better look.

Here is a close up of the top of the container.

Thanks so much for visiting with me.  Be sure to stop by the blogs of the other members of The Cat Pack.  Some shared their handmade gifts last Tuesday.  A few of us are sharing today and then a few more will have some gift ideas for you on next Tuesday.  Have a beautiful day!  Until next time...Toodles! :D

It's TCP Tuesday Time!!!

Happy Tuesday, Friends!  It is now November and The Cat's Pajamas has a new challenge for you this month.   The challenge is to create a card, and then from whatever is left on your desk, make two more cards.  To play along and have a chance to be next month's Swanky Stamper of the Month, please visit Alma's Blog.  I still had a few packs of patterned paper on my desk from the last release, so I grabbed Big Bear from The Cat's Pajamas and I got to work.  Here is a peek at my first creation.

I used the new Dots CutUps for my background.  All of the patterned papers on my cards are from the Merry Little Christmas collection from My Mind's Eye.  The only Copic Markers that I needed for all of these cards were C1 and C2.  I added some Cranberry Seam Binding and a button from my stash to finish this one off.

This card uses papers from the same collection, a few buttons, and some more seam binding.  This time around I used the sentiment from the Expecting the Big Guy set and I cut it out with the Circus Panels CutUps

My last card includes more of the same papers and the same sentiment and the Circus Panels CutUps.  This time around I added some buttons, some gems, and a few snowflakes from the Snowflake Lace Paper CutUps.

I hope that you'll take some time to join The Cat Pack and try this challenge.  Once I got started, I was quite surprised by the fact that I could make three cards in about the same time that it usually takes me to make just one!!  With everything out and ready to go, as my Firsties at school would say...It was easy peasy!  Thanks so much for stopping by for a visit!  Until next time...Toodles!  :D

Blog Hop Time for The Cat's Pajamas!!!

Happy Tuesday, Friends!  It's Blog Hop time for the new release from The Cat's Pajamas!  If you are hopping along, then you arrived here from the very delightful and talented Jessie Rone's Blog.  If you just happened to stop on by, then head on over to Nancy's Blog so that you can stop by all of the blogs.

My card features this adorable snowman from the Let the Flakes Fly set.  I colored him up with Copic Markers (B0000, B000, C1, C5, C7, C9, R20, R29, R59, YG93, YG95, YR16, YR21, YR24, and YR68) and then I did some straight stitching on the stamped panel.  The patterned papers are from Echo Park.  I added some zig zag stitching and a trio of buttons to the main layer.  I just had to dress up the buttons a bit, so I added some Cherry Divine Twine.  The sentiment is from the same set.  I hand cut the flake and added a heart from the Heart Trio CutUps that I embellished with a snowflake from the Snowflake Lace Paper CutUps and a button with some Holiday Divine Twine.

Your next stop on The Cat's Pajamas Blog Hop is the very sweet and talented, Lori! Be sure to head on over to her blog and leave a little love!  Happy Shopping!  The link for the Brand New TCP site is HERE!!!  Thank you so much for visiting with me! Long Eared Bunny Sneaky Peek!!!

Happy Thursday, Friends! I hope that you are ready for another sneak peek from The Cat's Pajamas soon to be released stamp sets and dies!  The main character this time around is everyone's favorite long eared bunny.

Are you ready for some football?  He sure is!  The main image and sentiment are from the Go! Fight! Win! set.  I colored him up with quite a few Copic Markers (B000, C1, C2, E13, E15, E000, E57, E59, G20, G21, G24, R20, R22, R24, R37, R39, Y21, and Y26) to get the shading that I was going for.  The patterned paper is from My Mind's Eye.  That wonderful dotted back ground is from the soon to be released Dots CutUps.  I kept things on the simpler side with just a sentiment flag, some machine stitching, and a few brads.  I hope that you have had a chance to check out the BRAND NEW WEBSITE for The Cat's Pajamas!  If you haven't, the link is right  HERE.

TCP Sneak Peek!!!

Happy Tuesday, Friends! I hope that you are ready for a brand new release from The Cat's Pajamas!!  Our sneak peeks start today and we have lots to share!  I have combined my sneak peek with this month's TCP Tuesday Challenge.  There is still time to play along in this month's anti embellishment challenge and have a chance to be chosen as Swanky Stamper of the Month.  Good Luck to you!  Be sure to visit Alma's Blog to play along.

My card today features the soon to be released set called Peace, Joy and Penguins.  Our penguin friends are just adorable getting into the holiday spirit!  I colored them up with Copic Markers (B000, R46, R59, R81, R83, YG95, YG97, and YR68) and attached that layer to a piece of olive colored card stock.  The patterned paper is from the Merry Little Christmas collection from My Mind's Eye.  Because of the challenge restrictions, I kept my embellishments on light side.  I added some zig zag stitching to the main panel.  The sentiment is also part of the new set and I used the oval from the Circus Panels CutUps Dies to cut it out.  The snowflake was made with the Snowflake CutUps Die and instead of adding a real button, I used a paper one that I made with Buttons CutUps Dies.  Now when you click on the links for these items, you will notice that The Cat's Pajamas has a BRAND NEW WEBSITE!  It's amazing!  It's easy to navigate around and there is even a link to Alma's main TCP Blog!  Apparently, there is a bug in the "out of stock" graphic.  Alma is working on the problem.  Please be patient with her.  I'm certain that it will be fixed soon.  Go ahead...take a look around!  The link is HERE.

Here is a peek at the whole set.

TCP Tuesday Challenge!

Happy Tuesday, Friends!  It is the beginning of the month and it is time for a new challenge from The Cat's Pajamas!  For the month of October, Alma has challenged us to make a creation with limited embellishments.  To play along with us, just head on over to Alma's blog for all of the details.

Here are the details for my creation. I kept things on the simple side and used my pattern papers from My Mind's Eye to pretty things up.  I stamped the penguin trio and the sentiment from the Hello Pumpkin set from The Cat's Pajamas.  I paper pieced the great pumpkin and I used Copic Markers (C9, YG25, YR16, YR18, and YR21) to color up the rest of the parts.  Some black cardstock layers and strips and some machine stitching finish off my card.

I hope that you will have the chance to play along with The Cat Pack.  Don't forget...On the First Monday of the Month a winner will be chosen from the previous challenge participants and crowned Swanky Stamper!!  Good luck!  Thanks so much for stopping by for a visit.  Until next time...Toodles!  :D

World Card Making Day!

Happy Saturday and Happy World Card Making Day!  I was able to stamp up a couple of things today.  Some I need to wait a little bit into the month to show you, but I also wanted to make a card to share on the day that honors what we all love to do.

I was inspired by a few things.  First, I started off with the sketch from the My Favorite Things Wednesday Stamp Club.  I turned the sketch on its side and went from there.  (Click HERE for all of the details to play along.)  The second thing that inspired me was the special episode about breast cancer on TLC's Say Yes to the Dress last night.  Not the happiest of subjects, but it did inspire me.  When one is told that they have cancer of any kind, it is a big pill to swallow.  It has been a part of my family in one form or another for too many years.  One of my friends from school is home recovering from cancer treatments.  She will hopefully be back to school soon, but I wanted to send her another card to let her know that she has been in my prayers and I hope that she finally wins this battle.

I used one of the sentiments from the MFT Vertical Greetings set.  The flower blossoms were made from felt and with the MFT Layered Rose Die-namics and the MFT Royal Leaves Die-namics.  I used some buttons for the centers.  Then I added the MFT Little Open Scallop Strip Die-namics with a few pearl accents.  The striped paper is from the Beautiful Life collection from Echo Park Papers.  Some machine stitching finishes off my card.

I hope that you were able to take a moment and get crafty today.  Thank you for visiting with me.  Have a beautiful weekend, and until next time...Toodles!  :D

I Stamped...Well, Sort Of!

Happy Sunday, Friends!  Well, September is almost over and I am still making birthday cards.  This is seventh one for the month!  I think that I only need two for next month.  Now, you are probably wondering why I wrote that I sort of stamped in the title of my post.  This card definitely has the delightful long eared bunny from The Cat's Pajamas stamped on it, but that small rectangular part was made back in the summer...it's an ATC (Artist Trading Card) that I made for a swap that I was in.

Lately, I am short on crafting time, and as a sweet cyber friend told me this week, that can make you cranky.  I, for one, do not want to be cranky, so I took a break from the boatload of work that I have, and crafted another birthday card.  Having the ATC already in my hands made things easy, peasy (as my Firsties at school would say)...lol!

Here are all of the details.  The main image and sentiment are from the Birthday Bunny set from The Cat's Pajamas.  He is colored up with Copic Markers (B06, BG01, BG53, E41, E42, R20, R22, YG13, YG17, YR20, and YR21), and then I fussy cut him out.  The papers are from Bo Bunny and the Family Ties collection from Pebbles.  My other accents include the Seeing Spots embossing folder, the Apron Border CutUps, and the Flower Button CutUps.  Then, I added a button from my stash, some craft twine, and some machine stitching to finish off this easy, peasy card.

I am certainly glad that I was able to get crafty, and I'm sure that my family is happy that I'm not cranky...lol!  Have a beautiful rest of the weekend, and thank you for visiting with me today.  Until next time...Toodles!  :D
