This Is Me!

This is exactly what I've looked like this past week of Spring vacation! I have been cleaning, organizing, donating, and just throwing away whatever I could get my little hands on...lol! It's been a very good week! When I found this image in my newly organized box of High Hopes Rubber Stamps, I knew that I had to use her for this week's Blogger's Challenge. Our challenge is to use the colors blue, orange, and moss. I went with Stampin' Up's Night of Navy and Mellow Moss. The patterned paper is from Chatterbox and it had all three colors in it. My little cleaning girl is colored up with Copic Markers (B21, B23, B26, C0, C1, E000, E01, E29, E31, E35, G40, G82, R20, Y21, Y26, YR00, YR15, and YR18.) I added a computer generated sentiment and a few different orange colored Doodlebug buttons to complete this one.

My darling husband took this week off as well. He has been busy too. He wired the barn with electricity and built me a new stamping desk!!! I'm off to paint it once I make some lunch. I'll show pictures soon. For some more ideas with this wonderful color combination, please click HERE and see what the other Ladies in the Blogger's Challenge group have come up with. Have a beautiful day and thanks for stopping by for a visit...Toodles! :D

Blogger's Challenge Sketch!

Happy Friday! It is an especially happy one here because as of about four o'clock this afternoon, Spring Vacation has started around here!!! Lots of organization is going to happen in the Gajewski house over the next nine days, and I couldn't be happier! (I know it may sound a little weird, but I DO like to clean and organize. It's my thing. Just go with it. It truly makes me happy...lol!)

This week's Blogger's Challenge is a fabulous sketch from the very lovely, Lisa Somerville! I really loved this one because it's just a wonderful way to add patterned paper to your design if you want to. In this case, I used Lavender Rosebuds from Paper Pizazz. The colors worked perfectly with Stampin' Up's Lavender Lace and Cool Caribbean. My image is another one of my new Lili of the Valley stamps. It is called Story Time and I colored it up with my Copic markers (B0000, B21, B23, BG11, BG15, C0, C1, E000, E01, E29, E35, E51, E57, G24, G82, R20, R81, R83, R85, V12, V17, Y21, and Y32). Very simple card, but I already know who it will be perfect for.

At the moment, I'm still waiting for the cable guy to come and fix our television...ugh! With the extra time on my hands, I'm off to check out what the other Ladies have come up with for this sketch. You can find their blogs, if you click on the Blogger's Challenge logo in my right sidebar. Thanks a bunch for stopping by today! Enjoy the rest of your evening...Toodles! :D

Hello There!

Well, here it is Sunday, and I'm just posting my Blogger's Challenge that should have been here on Friday. Yes...it has certainly been one of those weeks...lol! I guess that the good news is that I've made it through that week. So here is my Blogger's Challenge project (Alter It), and as the saying goes, "Better late, than never"!

I decided to alter one of these little notebooks that I've had in my stash. It came from Big Lots and was a Kraft color along with the pen. It's covered up with Cosmo Cricket's Garden Variety paper and then I added a new image that I got from Lili of the Valley. This little guy was just too cute and I HAD to have him, so he made the voyage across the pond to come and live at my house, and I'm so glad that he did...lol! A few of his friends traveled with him so that he wouldn't have to make the journey alone. Hopefully, I'll be able to share them with you very soon. He is colored up with Copic Markers (B21, B23, E29, E33, E35, E37, R29, Y21, Y35, YG13, and YG17) and layered onto a piece of Coordinations card stock. I added a matching piece of Martha Stewart ribbon to one of the notebook coils and there you have it...one Blogger's Challenge project, two days late...lol!

I'm off to check out what the other Ladies have come up with. If you'd like to join me, just click here. Enjoy what is left of the weekend, and thanks so much for stopping by for a visit...Toodles! :D

Happy Easter!

Happy Friday! Sorry that I'm a little late posting. It's a gorgeous day here in New England and I did not have to work today. So instead of being here on the computer, I've been to church, a little bit of shopping, and enjoying the beautiful weather outside! You know I couldn't miss a Blogger's Challenge though...lol!!! So here we go!

Our theme for this week is Easter. My card base is Stampin' Up's Certainly Celery. I also used a layer of retired Cool Caribbean (stamped with SU's retired Dots and Daisies) adhered to a black layer. Then I added a piece of May Arts ribbon and a retired sentiment from Stampin' Up. My image is one of the very first stamps that I ever purchased! It is called Easter Wishes and it is from Penny Black Inc. I colored it up with my Copic markers (BG10, BG11, C1, E51, E31, E33, E35, G24, G40, R20, R81, and R83) to get a little bit more practice in. Then I strategically added some Star Dust Stickles to a few areas.
